As campaigners say the plan to place 100 parks in trust forever is progressing too slowly, the council says it is still committed to fulfilling the pledge.

Campaigners say @lpoolcouncil plans to place 100 parks and green spaces in trust for ever is taking too long to roll out. Since the pledge was made in 2021 only one park (Faulkner Sq) has been placed in trust. Read more here:

Edinburgh Council, now has 55 green spaces protected by Fields in Trust by recently adding another 19 parks. Why can’t Liverpool achieve this? In 3 years since the Council passed the motion to protect 100 parks and green spaces just one park in Liverpool has been protected.

So far Liverpool City Council has only protected 1 park in Liverpool under Fields in Trust’s Deed of Dedication , whilst Edinburgh has 19. Why the delay when the process is really very simple ?

Liverpool's parks to be protected with building on them banned liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liv…
This was the news in March 2021 and so far there is only one pocket park in Falkner Square protected. This was passed by LCC Cabinet then and needs to happen now !!
