Jacob Fowler (#gohabsgo) stopped 34 shots with a .971 SV% tonight en route to a Montreal win at the NHL's Heritage Classic.
Sounds like the former Eagle went to work 👷

THIS KID IS SPECIAL 👀
Look at this move from 17 year old #2027NHLDraft Nazar Privalov for the great scoring chance. #CSKA #KHL
James Hagens is the antithesis to this quote… driving the net constantly on his shifts.
Rutger isn’t wrong. But still, just drive the net. Create chaos in the slot and score the easy goals.
Hagens has 4/5/9 in 12 NHL GP this year.
Rutger McGroarty with an insightful take on the “get to the net” cliché and why timing matters more than simply going to the net:
“I think overall, a lot of people just say, like, ‘Get to the net, get to the net, get to the net.’ But just going to the net, a lot of the time, is just kind of a dumb play, and that's what a lot of people don't realize. If you just go there and get tied up, I think arriving on time is a huge thing. I think that not being at the net front in a battle when the puck's behind the net, because that's worthless. I think that just arriving on time is a huge thing, and that's something that I've tried to work on a lot.” #LetsGoPens
Those close to me know how long I’ve raved about Brayden Willis
Not only does he boast everything Jonny mentions here… he is consistently the hardest worker
His brother showed it too. Brayden has it all. Talent, IQ, awareness, and damn heart
2028 Draft eligible by one day
I love watching Brayden Willis play.
Kid has so much skill, creativity and poise.
He’s impressed me a lot this season, keep an eye on him.
@GopherHockey commit.

The Jake Livanavage get is turning out significantly better than I expected. By like at least 2x what I thought. This kid is gonna play in the NHL.

Jimmy Hags. This fucking kid. How can you not love him? What a steal at 7
James Hagens currently leads all NHL forwards with 16 blocked shots.
“It’s definitely something that I try to take pride in. It’s just the d-zone, and when a guy is getting ready to shoot, if that’s your guy, you’re going to make sure that you’re in the shooting lane.”
On taking on new roles as a pro:
“Yeah, definitely. You could be put in all different positions. You just have to make sure that you’re ready for it. You got to be able to prepare [for] when you’re out there, you know, whether that’s asking questions or just being able to watch other teammates, see how they’ve done or are doing in that role, and you try to do that to the best of your ability.”

BREAKING:
#NYR legend. 1994 Stanley Cup Champion.
Mike Richter joins Rangers Recon LIVE this Monday 11:30am.
Wyatt Cullen scored a hat trick, and recorded an assist, in Minnesota’s route of North Dakota tonight
The #Smashville prospect took over when Minny needed a star. Took a few games to get comfy. Now looks ready for the spotlight
#Isles Jacob Kvasnicka also with a pair of assists
It's worth saying that this trade gives the #GoJetsGo one more Top 100 NHL Prospect
Formerly, Viggo Bjorck was their only representation
Their prospect pool ranked #28 in my summer rankings. Adding another A grade would move them to #24, at least
Devils ranked #14 before this
I ranked Alexander Command as the #50 prospect in the NHL over the summer
He finished #16 in my 2026 Draft rankings
The #NJDevils top prospect, undoubtedly. Who is their #2 prospect? Goaltender Mikhail Yegorov...
All of the sudden, tons of valuable goalie depth in NJ...
