On Monday, Pennsylvania launched the Registered Doula Apprenticeship Program – the first in the nation – to train people with the skills and knowledge needed to support their clients before, during, and after childbirth.
This exciting new program is part of our Administration’s efforts to support our maternal health workforce and increase women’s access to doulas as they navigate their pregnancy.

Halifax Community College is a really impressive institution. Between the emergence of AI and rising costs, it’s clear that the labor market is facing a lot of uncertainty. But I feel confident that community colleges like HCC can help us weather whatever comes next. They provide real value to their students and help them prepare for Future-Ready jobs that will always be in-demand.
It was great to tour HCC's Advanced Manufacturing program, Dental Hygiene and Assistance programs, and on-campus Head Start pre-school.

Today we joined state leaders on the Capitol grounds to celebrate the official opening of the new North Dakota State Laboratory, a modern facility that strengthens the state’s ability to monitor public health and environmental quality.
This ribbon cutting marks more than the completion of a building. It represents a new chapter in how North Dakota protects the health of its people and environment. This new laboratory gives our scientists and staff the modern tools they need to detect threats early, respond quickly and serve communities with greater precision. It’s the kind of long-term investment that strengthens our state for generations to come.
Thank you to the leadership and employees of the agencies that will call this building home.

The Arkansas State Fair is on now in Little Rock through Sunday, Oct 25. It traces back to the Arkansas Livestock Show of 1938, and county-fair premium auctions still send farm kids to college on livestock money every fall.

North Carolina is incredibly well positioned to lead in advanced manufacturing, biotechnology, aerospace and defense, cybersecurity, and more. But being ready for the future is not just about creating new technology. It is also about protecting it.
I was thrilled to speak at the Southeast Defense Innovation Center's Safeguarding America's Research conference last week and talk about how we protect the intellectual property and research that make those industries possible.
