It’s very unfortunate that Sen. @TJShopeforAZ (the Chair of Senate HHS) blocked SB1709, the one testing bill that could have made us safer.
AZ marijuana recalled because health regulators say it’s possibly contaminated with salmonella/aspergillus. Health dept. doesn’t actually test products off the shelf like other states so not really sure tucsonsentinel.com/local/rep…

SB1466, related to the legal marijuana industry, will not move forward. Sen. @TJShopeforAZ said it didn't receive enough GOP support. The bill would have made numerous changes, incl disallowing Delta 8 and other hemp byproducts as being classified as marijuana.
Two testing bills were introduced this year. SB1709 would have made a real difference (CC @AZSenatorShamp), but unfortunately, it died in Senate HHS without a hearing.
