Sometimes you've just gotta bring a little America to the party. 🇺🇸🦅⚡️ And just like that, the very first @nxtgencup season comes to an end.
I brought my best game and came out hot at the first race weekend in Falkenberg. By the halfway point in the season after races at Oschersleben & Nurburging I had a 34 point lead in the championship. But, as racing always is, some incidents & penalties came my way in the 4th and 5th rounds, setting me on the back foot coming into the final round at Mantorp Park. After a massive crash and utter confusion from race direction at the end of the first race, I missed the podium by one spot. In the final race of the season, I had nothing to lose and put on the full show, finishing P2 in the race and P3 overall in the championship, 14 points behind the leader. Working in equal materials in cars for the first time this season, I'm proud to have been able to show my talent, race-craft and strategy on track without limitation. Driving alongside @DTM was a definite highlight, and I got to represent some awesome NXT Gen sponsors-- @SchunkHQ, @hankooktire_global, Varta by Clarios and STFG. And, amazing support from @carbify_io as my personal sponsor. Fredrik Lestrup did it right. Huge thanks to the whole team for their teamwork and execution of a great idea.
