Littering made the Nassau nasty! Seriously. It's never just "one tiny piece of garbage." It piles up, it makes the highway look gross, it blocks catch basins, and it makes the city unsanitary! STOP! Don't litter; don't dump. Take pride in our city.

Our compost giveback season has come to an end for the year and we want to sum it up for you, New York. Hundreds of events. Thousands of attendees. Over 14 MILLION pounds of compost given away. But that doesn't mean we're slowing down - we're already prepping for next year's givebacks. We collected 4.6 million pounds of food scraps and yard waste just last week alone! Incredible work, New York. Thanks for making it a great compost giveback season. When we compost, everyone's on the winning team.

Leaves are falling. Time to gather them up for composting! Leaves can go directly in your brown compost bin, in a paper lawn bag, or in a clear plastic bag. Set out the leaves on your recycling/compost day and we’ll get them!

Brick by brick, some DEGENERATE made this mess on the side of the Nassau Expressway. Thankfully, we were there to clean it up. Everyone, private citizens and contractors included, knows that dumping trash is wrong. We teach kindergarteners this. Dispose of your trash properly. Don't dump on our city.
