We create permanent archives. Nano-inscribed in nickel and gold, more durable than stone tablets, records as human readable glyphs will survive civilizations.

Nanoengraved in nickel, NF compactly stores analog/digital data for millions of years. Used on 6 lunar archives and at HI-SEAS. Great for Grokipedia to Mars as durable knowledge base. Only need optics and light for recovery. @elonmusk

It take a minute to read the #NanoFiche that will last a hundred thousand years. Because the information is part of the nickel and gold.

Manual #NanoFiche Reader using plan 10x objective and 3 axis servos and a digital capture device. It's manual now but no reason it can't be programmed to automatically scan the entire fiche. Once captured each page is parsed and placed into a pdf to be ocr to make it searchable.
