I agree, but Cardano still needs to prove it’s a viable platform for businesses in the first place.
I think we’re still in that bootstrapping phase. IMO, given where the industry is today, we need at least 40 real success stories within the next six months, not just one or two poster boys.
No business succeeds without the pursuit of profit, and no capital is disciplined without someone who bears the downside. Markets have both — investors chase returns and eat their losses; founders carry liability and reputation.
Treasury funding has neither, and it cannot acquire them: a smart contract only enforces what happens on-chain. It can gate a disbursement; it cannot enforce real-world delivery, cannot impose fiduciary duty, and cannot claw back ADA once it has left the contract and been spent.
So the treasury can reliably fund only work whose output is itself verifiable on-chain — open, public-good protocol work. For almost everything else — ventures whose value depends on real-world execution and legal accountability — treasury funding is structurally the wrong instrument. Not because the goals are bad, but because the chain cannot enforce the discipline that private capital enforces by default.
I hate to admit it, but I think a certain level of obsession is necessary to see something truly challenging through.
Motivation, inspiration, and the right headspace are the fuel that keeps us going. But the skills we develop, the practice we put in, and the discipline to keep showing up are the engine that actually gets us across the finish line.
And here’s the funny (slightly tragic) part. Some of us spend months or years working toward something, only to barely enjoy the accomplishment before we’re already thinking about how to make the next one better. 😅
Is that just part of being a builder, or do we need to learn to enjoy the wins a little more?
Let’s talk about it today on Voices of Web3! 🎙️

I’ve been exploring @Cardano for a while through my work with @AdaLink_io, but @token2049 gave me more reason to look deeper.
• CIP-0113 is now live.
• Veridian is being spun out.
• Minswap + @FluidTokens are joining forces.
• Cardano is pushing agentic commerce.
• @MidnightNtwrk is taking the privacy conversation further.
What caught my attention is how different the strategy feels
I’m going deeper into Cardano.
Tomorrow, I’ll break down what actually happened at TOKEN2049, what’s already live, and what’s still being built.
Technology creates possibilities. Culture determines what people actually do with them.
Crypto has spent years expressing a particular vision of the future:
“Don’t trust, verify.”
“Not your keys, not your crypto.”
“Be your own bank.”
“Bank the unbanked.”
“Code is law.”
“….Can’t be evil.”
“If you’ll permit us, we’d like to change the world.”
Behind all of those phrases are ideas about decentralization, sovereignty, open systems, permissionless access, accountability, and changing the relationship people have with money, institutions, and one another.
But culture, to me, is more than what a community says it believes.
It is the shared assumptions, norms and behaviors that develop around what matters, what is valuable, what is fun, what is worth protecting, and what people expect from one another.
A shared vision of the future becomes part of that culture too. But ultimately, culture is reinforced through behavior.
What people repeatedly build.
What they support.
What they fund.
What they reward.
What they celebrate.
What they are willing to spend years working on, even when the attention disappears.
Those actions become signals of what the community actually values.
When enough people keep reinforcing them, they become habits and expectations. Eventually, they become part of the culture itself.
And that is where I think the real shaping of this industry happens.
The technology gives us the possibility to build something different.
The culture determines whether we actually do.

Replying to @realfi_co
@realfi_co is now live on @Cardano Mainnet with USDrf, a stablecoin designed to be backed by a diversified portfolio of real-world assets.
But what exactly is USDrf, how does it work, and why does it matter for Cardano?

Tomorrow on Voices of Web3 🎙️
With TOKEN2049 Week underway, the timing feels pretty perfect to talk about something Web3 has definitely developed plenty of: culture, customs & traditions.
At this point, does TOKEN2049 itself count as a Web3 tradition? 😂
Tomorrow, @CardanoNoodz joins us to explore the rituals, behaviors, customs and culture that communities build over time, and how they shape the way we interact, organize and build.
Come join the conversation! 🫶

I think her ending makes sense. It’s the typical “you either die a hero or live long enough to become the villain.”
The problem was that her development was rushed in the series. Not enough happened or was shown to justify her ending.
More rushed writing than bad writing, which IMO supports what R.R. Martin is saying. Though, in his case, I think he has a modern-age case of fandom-induced writer’s block dilemma. 😂
I just hope he knows that, after everything he’s gifted the world, he’s the only one who has to love that ending.
George R.R. Martin on Emilia Clarke wanting a different ending for Daenerys Targaryen in GAME OF THRONES:
“To accomplish great things takes time. You’ll have to wait and see.”

Every community eventually develops a culture. Web3 is no different.
The language we use, the things we celebrate, the behaviors we reward, the rituals we repeat, even the way we interact with one another all help shape what a community becomes.
Next Wednesday, October 7, on Voices of Web3, @CardanoNoodz joins us to talk about culture, customs, and traditions.

What if more people promoted Cardano staking and got rewarded for the delegators they bring in?
That’s what we’re testing with AdaLink SPO Campaigns.
SPOs fund campaigns.
Creators share them with their audiences.
AdaLink verifies the resulting delegation on-chain and attributes it back to the creator who generated it.
So the work that helps people discover and trust a stake pool can finally be tied to a measurable result.
Promotion → verified delegation → attribution → reward.
Help us test it before mainnet.

And that’s it. You’ve helped move Cardano staking forward.
