After nearly 20 years, I have moved away from Twitter (for reasons)
You might have noticed that I’ve been using Mastodon more over the past couple years:
- @[email protected]
I’m also on Bluesky as:
- @natbat.bsky.social
I have Instagram threads:

Does anyone know what happened to Corey from @iHeartRadio radio’s @Star1013 I missed the explanation of why she’s no longer on the show. So strange to suddenly have her leave mid week with no notice! She will be missed! @marcusandcorey 1013.iheart.com/featured/mar…
Happy New Year!

There are fungi that eat microplastics!
There are fungi that clean oil spills!
There are fungi that break down mining waste!
There are fungi that remove heavy metals & e. coli from water!
FUNGI CAN DO ANYTHING 😍🍄🧡
Do I know anyone here on BeReal? I’m quite enjoying sharing just one photo a day, it prompts you at random times and I like seeing the everyday lives of my friends.
It’s not about sharing the polished version of you like Instagram or Facebook can be.

Dear Friends, we are not in a better or different place.
Public perception is EXTREMELY warped. The pandemic is accelerating while we pretend everything is fine.
Something notable from this chart comparing U.S. COVID wastewater levels by year, is that we've never seen levels this high at this time of the year!
(indicated by the black line representing current levels, crossing the blue line representing Omicron levels in 2022)

ALT We are Still in One of the Largest Waves of the Pandemic, According to U.S. Wastewater Levels (Feb 2024) This chart shows SARS-CoV-2 virus levels by month since Biobot first started detecting the virus in wastewater, with all years depicted on the same plot. Because of the timing of historical winter peaks, years are shown from March to February. Vertical axis displays the effective SARS-CoV-2 virus concentration (copies/mL of sewage). Data last updated February 05, 2024 from samples collected during the week of January 29, 2024. Most recent data are subject to change. Chart: @luckvtran • Source: Biobot • Created with Datawrapper

A relative asked me:
"What would it take for you to go back to normal?"
My reply "what is normal?"
F: "Well doing all the things you used to do".
Some thoughts in a short thread.
Firstly; when circumstances change significantly, I don't consider it normal to ignore that.

I’m so scared for people. High-risk loved ones have no idea Covid is worse than ever & they’re confident their dramatic coughs cannot possibly be Covid because the CDC says they’re fully-protected. It breaks my heart, but it also makes me so enraged I struggle to contain myself.
