Less than two weeks of back living in Bellingham and I've already had to chase a tweaker out of my driveway this morning.

Zillow activity has been excellent. Showings every week, and open houses having multiple visitors each time. It's just tough out there right now!
Here's how it's going trying to sell a house right now in South Dakota. 🙃

Here's where we stand on getting our house sold almost a week later: 4 requested showings 3 completed showings 2 open houses w/ about 10 buyers coming through No offers yet. Though Zillow is 100% confident we'll sell faster than homes near by.

Imagine you’re getting inbound calls from prospective customers, only to put them on hold for 5 minutes running ads to join the rewards program. This is modern day hotels. This is as good as it gets.

Can anyone guess why I'm stoked to be in Kansas, other than to spend two days w/ @lulamaintenance team at our HQs? Wrong answers encouraged.

Today I listed my primary home for sale. Ask me what it’s like to be a seller, knowing this information.

And Zillow says my home is predicted to sell faster than 95% of other listings. I’m only saying that because it’s true and I need to balance good news and bad news and @NewsLambert keeps delivering bad news.

A year ago when we bought our house the mortgage loan officer said… “well you’ll be able to refinance at a lower rate later on so this isn’t a big deal” So there’s that.

I wrote up something on this yesterday: xitter.cf/jasonlewris/status/210…
The housing incumbents will hate me for this but so be it. Reports are coming out that median sales prices went up in August. Let me explain how misleading this is as all signals/data points indicate buyers are getting more for less. First, this read makes logical sense. There are very few buyers out there today and they are acting rationally. Let's say you have $450k to spend on a home. You could buy a single family home with 1750 square feet for $425k. Or, you could size up and negotiate in a weak housing market a 2000 square foot home for $450k. Median sales price up right? Well - the buyer actually got a lot more for less. $242.8 price per square foot vs. $225 The buyer made out here.

BREAKING: I investigated SOMALI DAYCARES in the Seattle metro and uncovered over $5 MILLION of potential misuse of taxpayer funds. When I knocked on doors, no one answered. Neighbors told me they have never seen any kids! These individual daycares are receiving $40,000 - $70,000 per month.
