.@jamestanton We can split squares into (a square number of) smaller squares. We can split triangles into (a triangle number of) smaller triangles. These shapes are strictly self-similar. Do you know where to find more, besides the L-shape (as in the yellow diagram)?

I'd like to assure you, if that's your worry, that books have editorial teams for grammar and style. Authors write as informally on Twitter as everyone else. A great activity for students: how precise must be your math/writing in different social settings? Chat, draft, article...

Truly personalized learning, focusing on each student one by one (mentoring, tutoring, small learning circles, etc.), is two standard deviations more effective than non-individualized learning with a good teacher and curriculum. So-called two sigma problem. Field: education.
