After last week’s home of horrors that was the perfect riposte, a performance full of endeavour, grit & enough moments of quality to secure all three points.
In fairness to our hosts, they more than played their part in an entertaining encounter as both teams were only intent on winning throughout.
We couldn’t have asked for a better start, Harry Waldock notching his first senior goal inside two minutes before both keepers exchanged saves prior to half time.
The second period followed a similar pattern, and we were pegged back from the spot just before the hour, but could have immediately regained the lead if not for a fine Will Brook save.
We did get ourselves back in front with 10 minutes to play though, Andy Smith tapping home from six yards in front of the away fans to ultimately seal the win.
