I appreciate @POTUS and @epaleezeldin for their continued support of American biofuels and for taking action to strengthen our nation’s energy independence.
Today’s announcement is welcome news for America's biofuel producers, providing the certainty they need to grow our homegrown energy industry. This also marks an important victory for our farmers, rural communities, and American consumers looking for lower prices at the pump.
In a move that will provide predictable and stable markets for farmers, we are proposing 100% REALLOCATION for the additional 2025 Small Refinery Exemption volumes for the amount that exceeded estimates in the “Set 2” Rule. This proposal will strengthen the Renewable Fuel Standard program, open markets for farmers, and grow economic potential for rural communities. The new survey of 1,200 farmers shows profitability is still uncertain, reflecting the compounding effect of multiple years hardship at the farm gate.
