Compelling sermons draw the listener in and make them feel like the preacher is speaking directly to them. Compelling sermons leave the listener wanting to hear more about what God is capable of doing in their lives.

A clear sermon removes unnecessary barriers between the biblical text and the listener.

When we fast, we are reducing our consumption and intentionally redirecting our attention to the Lord.

Clarity in preaching requires intentionality from the first moments of sermon preparation until you say amen and humbly walk off the stage.

Clear preaching does not mean making the Bible simplistic. It means making God’s Word understandable to the people listening.

When we think about manuscript writing we might be able to summarize it like this: write the sermon beforehand and preach it naturally to others.

Writing a manuscript protects the sermon from unfinished thinking. When preachers take the time to write out an illustration, they are better able to determine which details matter most and which ones can be left out.
