New $ HOOT tokenomics are LIVE.
Every trade on JustHoot, from NEAR, Solana or EVM wallets, pays a platform fee.
Buyback and burn stays: 50% of that fee still buys back and burns $ HOOT.
The rest now goes to:
- 15% Flywheel (new)
- 15% holder rewards in NEAR (new)
- 20% team

Memes in crypto get a bad rep, and often for good reason. Grifters, scams, cringe culture, and plenty of questionable characters.
But I still believe memes are one of the easiest ways to bring attention to an ecosystem like NEAR.
They spark conversations, attract new users, and give people a reason to actually try a chain, create a wallet, and start trading.
The challenge is building a meme culture that doesn't just repeat the same cycle of hype and extraction.
Maybe the answer is leaning more into utility-driven memes, real communities, and projects that actually contribute something to the ecosystem.
Curious what the NEAR community thinks. How do we embrace meme culture without importing the worst parts of it?

Exactly what @ilblackdragon said...
Meteor gives you the full flexibility of NEAR's account model — add, manage and rotate keys, including post-quantum keys, without moving your assets.
All directly from your wallet.
NEAR co-founder @ilblackdragon says any @NEARProtocol user can make their account quantum resistant today, without moving a single asset.
"We've designed NEAR with quantum in mind in 2018."
"Anyone individually right now can effectively update their account without moving any assets."
"Without needing to withdraw from wallets, pay taxes, do any of this."
"You can literally just update the keys to be post quantum right now."

Just bought Hoot tokens on @NEARProtocol with jupiter and rabby. No near needed.
@justhootfun is the first launchpad to made this possible. Made by real builders, no vibe coders. You feel, see and know the difference.
Marketcap 1 million 👀👀 (early as prepube ballsacks)

Hear ye, @NEARProtocol shire!
The curtain rises on SIR Hoot’s mini-series: rich lore, a lovable little knight, and a story NEAR can call its own.
The age of generic token slop is over. Quality and storytelling shall reign. ⚔️🦉

Ayo @near_intents intern, I can confirm that it works smoothly. A decent chunk of USDC was sent from Ethereum Mainnet to NEAR, where it was directly swapped into HOOT - check my proof of aping below. Now, kindly tell your colleagues at @NEARProtocol and @NEARFoundation about SIR Hoot, will ya? ⚔️🦉

Please try this and tell me this isn’t the best experience for a non-NEAR user to trade a token on NEAR (only justhoot tokens now)

One thing this season has highlighted, though, is that onboarding to NEAR still has friction
We've improved this a lot at Meteor, including gas-free bridging, but we can do more
That's why today's JustHoot update interesting
Solana/EVM users can now use their existing wallets
