Either we see about 20+ brands go independent or maybe in Nebraska’s case the formation of the old big eight returns, or the Big Ten and SEC each expand to 20 or 22 and then hold their own playoff
In the "second tier" of college sports' caste system, Miami is positioning itself for a conference move while exploring football independence and fighting against a federal bill.
"If we have to go independent," the president says, "I like our chances."

NEW: Bowl game directors met today in Irving, Texas - one of them called it a "Last Supper" 💀

How many bowls survive when CFP goes to 24 teams in 2027

Giving ESPN access to B10 content and using the league for matchups where it gets half the money is quite dumb for the @bigten to do. Go to 10 conferences games to balance the home away schedules and keep the money and your tv partners happy instead. Then add ND and Stanford
Fox's Joel Klatt told @dfwticket today that an SEC-B1G scheduling agreement will be announced "almost immediately" once the CFP expands to 24.

Good read for @SecRollins and @realDonaldTrump Surely we wouldn’t have disgruntled employees at the USDA. 🤷♂️
Good riddance and get them out of the playoff please. Just leaches …
NEW: Bowl games have hit the iceberg — and eight directors meet today to figure out how to survive when the CFP expands to 24 teams in 2027 👀

I’d MUCH RATHER you posted factual WASDE and crop production reports than give out money. $8 billion does not even BEGIN to touch the value that the USDA has stolen from agriculture.
Harvest relief for America’s farmers.
Today, @POTUS and @SecRollins announced the Harvest Fuel Relief Program — making $8 BILLION available for one-time payments to farmers facing higher costs and market disruptions.
Here’s what that means:
➡️ Payments to help cover a portion of estimated losses for the 2026 crop year.
➡️ Payment amounts based on planted acres, production costs, crop yields, and prices.
➡️ Row crop payment rates announced in November, with details for other eligible commodities to follow.
➡️ Application will be available online using a Login.gov account that is connected to USDA.

Remember when Trump said he would make it so you could repair this on your own or at least stop the derate? I do. Zero follow through. The only thing the whitehouse follows thru on is screwing with Ag markets
Conditions like election results for something @PeteRicketts and @SenatorFischer should be demanding be done tomorrow. WTF🤦♂️
The cardinals not signing Bryce Harper was what caused all of it

Nebraska football returning kickoffs when a fair catch gives you the ball at the 25 is……quite the choice

That seems the most likely reason, but I have no inside information…..

True, but… losing both games with 4th quarter leads is tough to swallow for a battered fan base. Not to mention, criticism of conservative play calling and game management is legitimate. Rhule should not be in charge of calling timeouts, imo. He’s not good at it. 🤦♂️
#52 of Oregon should have been penalized and ejected for targeting the play before the Colandrea TD.
Understanding NASS mistake in Nebraska? Super El Nino cycle. There's no reason to exit, maybe more reason to buy.
🌾 Hedge funds are STILL heavily LONG Ag futures 🌽📊
Despite seven weeks of selling, Managed Money traders are still +$45.4 BILLION net long across the ag complex.
That's still near the upper end of their +$8.9B to +$56.9B 2026 positioning range.
Funds have trimmed their longs ... but there's plenty of crowded length left to liquidate if the bearish news keeps accumulating. 📉💔
#Commodities #Agriculture #COT
Food for thought regarding USDA #’s. 45% of the yield increase in the report is attributed to Nebraska. Normally field samples are 45% non-irrigated and 55% irrigated. This time sampling was 90% irrigated. Looks like rain kept NASS from sampling eastern Nebraska.
GET RID OF THE STUPID BOWLS. Higher seeded teams deserve to play at home
