This headline says everything about mainstream media and their bias. @AFP should be ashamed. Reza Pahlavi is supported by tens of millions of Iranians who rose up across 31 provinces. He is the unquestioned leader of the democratic opposition. Yes not everyone supports him - but a huge coalition do - left and right, republican and monarchist. It is bizarre large sections of the western media feel the need to define him by his father alone. And the critics of the prize are mainly a small faction of ultra leftists. Shameful journalism.

I had the privilege of taking part in the meeting with Crown Prince @PahlaviReza, alongside fellow Members of the European Parliament. I was also honoured to deliver the opening remarks.
I spoke about why the future of Iran matters enormously to Europe.
For too long, the Islamic regime has denied Iranians their freedom while financing terrorism, destabilising the Middle East and supporting Russia's war against Ukraine.
A free and democratic Iran would open the door to greater regional stability, stronger economic cooperation and a new partnership between Iran and Europe.
Europe's future is closely connected to Iran's future. The Iranian people deserve the right to determine their own future, and we must continue to support that right.

Europe refuses to understand one simple fact: the future of Iran is directly tied to the future of Europe.
An Iran liberated from it's oppressors opens up a new chapter of possibilities for this continent. Trade, growth and prosperity.
On the other hand, a future in which the Islamic regime continues to export its ideology of terror, will become existential to us.
