Energy can be the sector that powers economic growth and secures well paid jobs in Scotland.
Jackdaw is a key development in Scotland’s reindustrialisation.
This is a pragmatic decision that puts industry before ideology. It’s the right decision.

I said I would make the case for further devolution within Scotland directly to Downing Street and Bute House.
I’m delighted Andy is backing this approach, and I hope John Swinney does too. Let’s work together to put power in the hands of local people.
"My message to John is simple, I want to push economic power out into the regions of Scotland, do you?"

We back new nuclear. That investment is ready to go. Both governments should work together to deliver it.
Exclusive: The UK Government will not override Holyrood to bring in new nuclear, energy minister Michael Shanks has said.
Shanks said Labour are "devolutionists" and “ripping up the Scotland Act to force through new nuclear isn’t the right approach”.

One of the findings from my report on the management of the ScotWind leasing round was that it's not clear how the £755m raised is being used.
It's important the Scottish Government is more transparent about its plans.
