It is also politically useful in atomising the population so that it can become more manageable through cultural and social engineering ... that is breaking down but the social damage has been done and may not be reversible.
He’s right but loneliness is an epidemic throughout Britain, not just in rural areas. So many places where people in previous generations could meet and make new friends or find new partners, be they pubs, dance halls, discos, social/works clubs, you name it, have closed down. Social life in Britain is worse now than probably at any other time in our history (bar the grim Cromwell years). But no politicians are talking about it, even though the cost to individuals and society is huge.

Also, any kind of socialising now, even just popping out for coffee and cake, costs the equivalent of a week's wages.

The way things are going making eye contact with people will soon be illegal.

A male friend of mine joined a new mixed-sex gym the other day. I looked on their website and they had an introductory YouTube video for new people. One of the rules was that you weren’t allowed to look at the women while they were working out, nor make eye contact.🤷🏼‍♂️

Cities embody the notion of the lonely crowd. This has happened, not by accident, but rather, by design. Their end game is to have us imprisoned in nondescript open prisons, called 15 minute cities.

As villages lose their soul, loneliness is spreading like an epidemic. Reach out to your friends and family❤️

Culture Club/Boy George & Kid Creole & the Coconuts just knocked that edition of #TOTP2 from October 1982 out of the ball park. What a great outro. @TOTPFacts

It could also cost Labour the next election. "Andy Burnham’s pledge to scrap the triple lock could cost future pensioners thousands of pounds, new analysis has found." independent.co.uk/news/uk/po…

A lot of people were fooled into thinking they only had to get rid of the Tories and life would become better. But we are now heading for 2.5 years of Labour in power and has life got better? Has everyday life got easier for most people ? Has the cost of living crisis got better or worse? In what way have Starmer & Burnham improved things? There’s a case for saying things are even worse now than in July 2024. cc @andyburnham

Putting aside the selfish narcissism it requires to hold your own happiness as the highest good, this mindset also fails 99% of women when actualized. It’s not “patriarchy” that you may struggle to find the man of your dreams as a divorced 45 year old. The “sisterhood” is just miserable women pulling happy women into the abyss with them.
"Call Her Daddy" host Alex Cooper & actress Sophia Bush: if a woman is questioning whether she can do better than her current husband, "the answer is always yes." "This idea that it's too late or you're too old, or who are you to want more, that's patriarchy. That is crazy."

Such a sad story. Grief is a terrible thing but it is the price we pay for loving someone. The more we love, the more we grieve. This poor guy went through an awful lot.

I think everyone can see this is a bit hypocritical to say the least. If we’re told we have to keep ‘geopolitics’ out of the classroom then it needs to be applied equally across the board.
The British government has been accused of hypocrisy after saying pupils should not display Palestine flags in school, despite the government having promoted the displaying of Ukrainian flags in schools and made other political statements on Ukraine mee.s.gy/or5AFE

The biggest problem at school is and always has been bullies. That affects/has affected thousands of children.

I asked my 14 year old, ans she had no idea or recollection of any at her school. Bullies, yes. No antisemitism though
