Claude Duet comes to you first and keeps working after you walk away. Best line in the launch is Anthropic admitting it can still misjudge what's urgent.

We’re opening a research preview of Claude Duet, a new app where Claude works as a proactive agent. It comes to you with what needs your attention, completes tasks you ask of it, keeps working when you step away, and checks with you before it acts on your behalf.

theory going around that AI's "it's not X, it's Y" habit comes from 不是…而是, a pair Chinese kids drill in primary school. I buy it.

不是…而是 roughly means "not… but rather," and in Chinese it's mostly used to add nuance, so both halves often mean nearly the same thing. That matches how AI uses it in English, like "it's not a discovery, it's a journey of exploration."

Agent sandbox startup Daytona just hit a $1B valuation with 35 people, per its CEO. The founders of Stripe and Shopify joined the round. I think every AI agent getting its own computer is the bet here.

We just raised a $60M Series B at a $1B valuation to build @daytonaio into the Agent Cloud. @FirstMarkCap led the round, with all key existing investors and angels doubling down. We're also thrilled to welcome the founders of some generational companies aboard, including @patrickc (Stripe), @tobi (Shopify), @AravSrinivas (Perplexity), @BrendanFoody (Mercor), @oliveur (Datadog), @adamdangelo (Quora) and @ericsyuan (Zoom) We're a 35-person team. But that's about to change; we're hiring across the board, and we'd love for you to join us.

A tailored cover letter used to be proof someone cared about the job. Now it's a GitHub fork. This open-source setup runs on Claude Code. It scores each job posting for fit and rewrites your CV and cover letter to match. It has over 62,000 stars (Verified, GitHub). Its builder says it got him 20 first interviews from 69 applications, and 1 signed contract (Self-reported).

Meta banned TikTok's ads in some markets, and Google looks like the one cashing in. Since the ban, YouTube's share of TikTok's ad spend went from 9% to 17%. Pinterest went from 3% to 9%. App ad networks like Google's AdMob jumped from 19% to 58% (Reported, Sensor Tower). Meta kept a rival off its apps and handed a chunk of that budget to YouTube.

A shopping bot reads three things on your site: product data, prices and reviews. That matters now because Meta's Muse assistant, launched in September, can buy things for people using Stripe's payment wallet. Amazon already blocked it over scraping concerns. If your product data is messy, the bot picks someone else.

If you sell code that saves developers time, AI coding tools are now your biggest competitor. Marc Lou's ShipFast, a code starter kit for launching startups, made $126,000 a month in 2024 by his own count (Self-reported). TrustMRR shows $1,993 for the last 30 days (Verified). It still earned $1,272,892 in total (Verified). Template businesses get one big window, and it closes fast.

HubSpot just let customers swap seats for AI credits, mid-contract. Software pricing is quietly moving from "per person" to "per piece of work." That's the lead in NetNewWeekly #2.

We just crossed $19M ARR with @heyreach_io, 20 days after crossing 18M! ✅ THE GOOD: 1. We are back to hypergrowth - we are back to adding $1.5M+ MRR per month again. I was scared that we slowed down, but I guess it was just seasonality 2. Our US tour has been enormously profitable - we sealed some amazing partnerships, and closed a ton of clients 3. I have a much better and bigger vision about what I wanna do - I thought I wanna scale HeyReach to $30M ARR, and it's market cap is $40/50M max. But now I feel fueled more than ever to push it to $100M ARR (ofc, some product changes and new markets will be needed). I feel the hunger again. 4. We launched DFY services, and reached $50K MRR in the first month - a project that I initially wanted to kill, that was Ilija's initiative, is growing like crazy. People who don't know how to do LinkedIn outbound are converting like crazy on our DFY offer ❌ THE BAD: 1. I'm feeling a bit outdated in our product positioning and marketing activities - even tho we are growing fast af, I still feel we are outdated in our marketing tactics & our product positioning. Met and talked with other founders, and I'm amazed by the way they are approaching things. I'm under pressure to ride the "new wave" again. 2. Our partnerships approach needs to be rebuilt - times have changed, and our partnerships approach needs a change too. will share more about this in the next posts, when I'm sure our new plan is nailed .... ... .. . Stay tuned, wild stuff are coming @ heyreach! ... and a new product launch next week 😉
