All the current hate that trans people are experiencing are the same recycled tropes used against homosexuals in the past. I can tell you right now that kids are much safer around trans people than they are with terfs. Terfs are dangerous and predatory.

They don't appreciate being told they MUST restructure their beliefs and speech to accommodate your worldview.
They don't like you undermining what a woman is by saying men qualify as women based on a 'feeling.'
They don't hate trans-identifying people. They hate being bullied, being told their sex (female) shouldn't matter to them but absolutely matters to males who want to be females.
They hate being women forced to change and share close quarters with men.
And, above anything else, they HATE being told they "hate" people for having valid and based opinions and beliefs.
If you truly want to understand gender-critical people better, you might think about occasionally saying about them, "Wow. They actually have a point there. Maybe there's another way for me to live my life AND be happier without bullying people into surrendering their valid perspectives and rights."
