🚨 Indian certificate authority eMudhra had 8 CA private keys cracked.
A secure key is a random 116-digit number.
eMudhra's were 1 to 3 digits. One was literally "4".
A laptop recovered all 8 in under a second.
Browsers blocked them within hours. Your servers may not have.
Who needs to act:
→ Update ca-certificates, certifi, Node, Go (1.27.3/1.26.10)
→ Rebuild Docker images
→ Check CI/CD, curl installers and API calls
Devices with frozen firmware trust these certs until 2039.
