Bioware is closing.
Imagine reading this 15 years ago. THE BioWare - the guys with THE awesome stories. Unthinkable.
It's a big shame. NWN, DA, ME were some of my favorite games.
I hope the IPs won't die.
I'd love to see a NeverWinterNights or DragonAge game by @larianstudios one day.
I'm currently in the middle of some major FilterBlade & Filter reworks and feature development.
Do you prefer different S-Tier item types to have different colors (PoE1)?
Or do you prefer them being all Red-White-Red (like in PoE2)
Tell me why.
Also since people are pointing it out.
I absolutely think Mirror should look EXACTLY like a divine.
This has 3 main reasons:
- You get accustomed to the sound/look of Divines. We're pattern matchers. An unknown sound increases chances you'd miss it and also won't give you any dopamine.
- Visual reasons. It's quite impossible to find a better coloration with the tools provided by GGG. The divine already has top contrast. So either I need to nerf the divine drop for something you'll likely never see or use a 'worse' color for mirrors.
- By keeping the 'Divine Orb' THE top tier you know what you find is at least very good. It keeps you excited and its fun. It's always good. But it MAY be great. Removing that high ceiling removes a lot of excitement.
Tell me your preference!
12%Red - I play poe2 only
11%Mix - I play poe2 only
17%Red - I play poe1+poe2
60%Mix - I play poe1+poe2

I'm COMPLETELY new to the genre (never played Valheim or anything similar).
After an hour of slaying and getting slain.
Would die again - having a blast.
Thanks everyone for the feedback!
Enshrouded caught my attention.
Not exactly my typical genre, but thought I'd give it a try.
What do you guys think? Worth spending time on?
Latest Nvidia driver/app update allows AI-agents to talk to the app.
This MAY mean - Nvidia CAN use their models/processes to access it via THEIR AIs.
I recommend turning it off.
( MCP servers are harmless, but it's kind of VERY ambiguously phrased )
To give this a bit more context:
MCP servers are kind of a 'remote control' for AIs.
They give an AI knowledge of what and how they can access in an app.
So in this case it allows AIs to access your installed games, optimize things, update drivers, see how games are running.
This CAN be very useful. You can use it yourself for automation shenanigans, it's like giving an AI a tool.
But this can also have issues. It can be used to collect data, train AIs, improve advertising etc.
Note:
I know MCP serves don't do anything by themselves, but Nvidia is not an unbiased player.
Also turning it off saves a bit of resources.
Twitter feels super enshittified nowadays.
The 'for you' tab is ~50% half filled with
- AI-generated videos
- 'puzzles' with no solution
- ragebait.
I never thought I'd say it, but I miss the time when thirst-traps were the major issue.
Is it just me?
Also yes I know, the 'For you' tab is based on my 'preferences', but... it just doesn't feel this way at all.
Half the content is just low quality slop.
There are some heavy storms going on Rhodes right now.
I *saw* a nearby large tree fall. It also crushed our water pipe...
Scary stuff.
Part of the island-life deal is that you get to experience the elements (quakes, floods, fires, and even small tornados - very avatar)
I'm so pumped and SO anxious about this.
I'll be back from ExileCon ~1.5 days earlier.
This is absolutely not terrifying.
Apparently I'll be making filters on the plane~~
At least I have an excuse to book that extra legroom!
Do you just LOVE Adobe and their Perfect policies and pricing?
Then you should definitely NOT check out Photocraft, it's 100% open-source Rust rewrite of Photoshop that also comes with a MCP server for your tech ideas.
Definitely don't click the github link in the comments.
I have to say, it was a moral dilemma if I wanted to post this or not.
Real jobs are on the line by using this.
That being said, in a corporate world of miss treating customers, I had some of my largest gripes with this subscription.
Nothing about it seemed fair.
I still pay and support many developers and their products, but this one... I can do without.
