This chart is exactly the daisy chain I always worry about! One Amazon share reaches investors through 5 jurisdictions and 6 different legal claims: security entitlements, contractual claims, debt notes, certificates, beneficial interests, and a "digital asset" out of El Salvador. Same ticker, but very different answers to the only question that matters when something breaks… who actually owes you what? I agree with @LorenzoARK that this consolidates like stablecoins did, and my bet is it consolidates around the entitlement model. That's why today is huge news and a big advanced. DTCC's Tokenization Service went live, the shares stay registered with Cede & Co., DTC stays the legal intermediary, wallets are permissioned, and you hold the same entitlement you'd hold today, just on a new rail. It's less decentralized but it's clear about who owes you what and that's key. Hugeeeee congrats to everyone who built toward this, I see you! Contrarian view here though: 24/7 trading of large-caps isn't the ultimate prize. That's a better casino not a better society. My eyes are on collateral mobility. Earlier this month BNY and Citadel Securities settled a tokenized Treasury in minutes and used it for overnight repo and in July JPM posted tokenized QQQ as margin at CME. Settlement speed has been behind some of the scariest margin events in market history, from the 2020 dash for cash to the 2022 LME nickel squeeze. Collateral that moves at 2am on a Sunday when the clearing member is asleep takes real pressure out of the system. The bigger prize is markets where ownership has always been murky like commodities in transit, trade finance, and emerging markets, where fraud thrives because no one can see if an asset has been pledged twice. If we can trust that a token really represents the asset, backed by real evidence and an immutable record of who owns it and who has a claim on it, we've delivered the transparency and trust Bitcoin created, but for the real economy. We're not there yet. Under the SEC relief DTCC launched on, tokenized shares don't count toward collateral in DTC's own settlement risk controls, even though they're supposed to be a digital twin of the exact same securities. So the real test is whether a clearinghouse's risk engine, in the middle of a margin crisis, gives a token the same haircut as the asset it represents. Today is an exciting first step but semper paratus.
On the OKX/ICE issuer refusal, people need to understand how confusing this market is right now. We have 5–10 different wrappers for the exact same equity. As things stand, it’s hard to see how this improves liquidity, let alone composability or programmability. I think we will run the same playbook as stablecoins: platform-neutral equities will win and the market will consolidate. But today, the value proposition is weak. You basically need a PhD in wrapper archaeology just to buy one share.

LoL, going through the task of digging gold out of the ground just to hide it back underground. @CommodMkt
🇨🇭 🇮🇷 How deep is deep enough to beat a bunker buster? About 200 meters... and Iran may already be digging there. Jeff Currie, former Goldman Sachs commodities chief and Real Macro CEO, says the Swiss Alps gold vaults he’s been working on sit roughly 170 meters down inside a mountain, past the reach of bunker busters and even NUKES. He thinks Iran learned the same lesson at Pickaxe Mountain after its sites weren’t buried deep enough last time: “There’s no, there’s no tools in any tool kit that can go and take out 200m.” If Tehran’s nuclear work now sits that far down, the next round of strikes could end up hitting rock. @CommodMkt

Correct. #29ers
Those who are not watching closely don’t realize that until 22/5 trading, options, and a tier 1 bank are turned on, the pipes are effectively 10% open. We’re at the bottom of the first inning.

Building institutional liquidity has no shortcuts, but @abaxx_exchange is proving the model: tighter spreads, deeper order books, and now major physical traders onboarding GKS for Singapore #Gold delivery. Wrapping up another solid month for both total volumes and market structure development. While AI dismantles traditional business moats, institutional network liquidity moats are hard, slow, but built to last. $ABXX.TO #29ers

Big development from @abaxx_exchange as they propose a move to 22hr per day trading of commodities. It makes the venue more usable for US-based clearing members and hedgers. Both the London and NY settlement points now fall inside one session abaxx.exchange/resources/mar…

Shorts' arms have to be getting tired at this point... Now, across official TSX and OTC reporting (not even including however many shares are sold short on the Frankfurt listing), 3,499,686 total shares sold short. In other words, regardless of the price of the next financing, if there even is one, there's already 3.5M shares worth of blind buying. At today's close of 15.34 CAD, 10.94 real dollars, that's $53.69M CAD or $38.3M USD, basically the entire financing amount that was oversubscribed at , just 5 months ago at 3.5X the price. I'll say it again: Every single future share in an offering at today's price is already accounted for by a group that has to buy the shares, indiscriminate of the offering price. Assuming there even is another public raise, and assuming it's not already spoken for by people who actually want to invest long in the company. Since August 15, on average 181K shares have been sold every 15 calendar days. 8.65% of all shares sold was a new net short. Extrapolate that from now until June (or later) of next year, apply an interest rate for borrowing fees, and you'll see exactly why the shorts haven't "won" shit yet. Staring at a pretty mark to market that brings you nothing but a monthly margin bill, that the shares don't even exist for you to cover with... This is gonna be fun™. $ABXX.TO $ABXXF #CallingAllWannabeFundManagersAndCIOsandFinanceyGuys #LNGDeliveryThisFall #2X80KVolumeDaysInARow #HoldingABeachballUnderWater #ShouldHavePaidAttentionToBernoulliInPhysicsClass

Yes. It’s been built as an actual OS/platform, where the SSO and multi-factor security use cases are actually the easiest first installation (and eventual 3rd party sale). That’s already working for a year+ in Abaxx Exchange and has clients operating and more in progress (Exchange, Minehub, ArtEx etc). And once the IDAM and data security model is in place with the MarketOS licence, the SaaS applications (drive, sign. Messenger, Attest etc) are easy add ons, and then business applications (digital title etc) then sit on top of those workflow tools.

Btw, had a variation of this convo with one of the world’s largest mining companies yesterday (talking copper, uranium, potash, concs, critical minerals etc…). It’s all moving to abstraction and PRAs, CFDs. ..in a world drowning in information, many commodities are rapidly losing price signal as the world balkanizes. They thanked us (for our often thankless work), one of the only exchanges truly focused on the work of hard price discovery of real things.

@abaxx_exchange is built on @abaxx_tech ID++ web 3 identity framework, so you can get a VC issued from a KYC/KYB/AML verifier that your last name isn’t “Bin Laden”, and then you can present that VC as a zero knowledge proof to the claim. Both sides of the trade are fully anonymous, while guaranteeing KYC/B/AML compliance, at least as far as you can trust the verifier (which obviously, like government ID, can have minimum thresholds) Long story short, not a problem any more. The “hard part” is already solved, and baked into the core of Abaxx exchange. Not their problem is the competition is too focused on degen gambling cash contracts to implement these required protocols.

"and developments no one has even speculated on yet—even if they’ll seem obvious in hindsight." I've speculated on a lot over the past 6 years, so this statement is saying a lot. I love how Josh and Abaxx keep investors on their toes; it's a company with infinite possibilities

Russell Robertson, chief business development officer at @abaxx_exchange , highlighted the interest in critical minerals, particularly in lithium carbonate which is offered as an internationally delivered contract on Abaxx and is benchmarked in China on the Guangzhou Futures Exchange. “While the China Securities Regulatory Commission is internalising products, the biggest challenge remains how to move dollars around and whether international participants want to use the RMB,” he said. With the Middle East conflict, there has been continued disruption in price discovery for oil, energy and critical minerals. “Coupled with rising commodity consumption, investors will buy at a price that’s relevant,” he said. “China has the opportunity to become a controller in price, especially given the change in commodity flow and pricing where buyers are looking more towards the East for price discovery.” @abaxx_tech fow.com/insights/china-shift…

Great interview @CommodMkt. I’ve been thinking $ABXX.TO is well positioned to help with the future world reserve currency issue for a while as well! Can’t wait to see what the future has to bring. 😊
