We have a system that intentionally kills our fellow Australians.
Yes, 20% of suicide deaths are people on JobSeeker. Yes, 60% of working age adults who die are on a Centrelink payment.

ALT Anti-Poverty week shouldn't be about presenting welfare recipients as pitiful objects. It should be a time for politicians to be scrutinised for choices that kill people through poverty, residualised public housing & violating unemployed people's agency by forcing them into compulsory activities. The main unemployment payment is $412 a week - 40% below the poverty line. 1 million people are on unemployment payments, around 40% are disabled. 20% of people on JobSeeker is employed, with an effective marginal tax rate of 75% for every dollar of income above $128 a week. Welfare recipients aren't falling behind, we're held back. 167,000 people on income support between 22 to 64 years old died between 2012 & 2022 - 58.2% of all deaths for this age group. Those on JobSeeker aged 35 to 44 are 9.6 times more likely to die than their peers. Meanwhile, the RBA continues to pursue policies intended to increase the number of unemployed people with no care for how those people will survive.

Greens leader David Shoebridge stepped onto the stage at Sunday's Save Victoria Barracks rally in Moore Park and was promptly booed by the veterans and military families he came to lecture.
Shoebridge was booed twice in 80 seconds for pushing acknowledgement of country rhetoric and demanding Australia cancel AUKUS. The Greens are pushing to kick the Army out of Victoria Barracks to build public housing flats on the historic parade ground.
Their platform pushes for open borders, scrapping defence capability, rewriting ANZUS, and gutting US intelligence links at Pine Gap, making any military spending a waste of money to them.
While Labor flogs off 67 defence sites and the Greens try to disarm Australia, One Nation is fighting back.
Senator Malcolm Roberts and NSW leader Mike Newman are standing with veterans to block the sale, protect military heritage, and stop the uniparty sell off of national security assets.

I'm definitely not anti-achievement and never criticized real achievements, including by Elon.
I even own two Teslas.
I do expose marketing stunts that, while cool on the surface, are not the achievements they are claimed to be.
Compressed air thrusters might give you acceleration boosts in any direction.
They might even make your car hover for a couple of seconds if you accept replacing the passenger seat by a 400 liter high-pressure air tank.
But they are not a path to actual flying cars.
The same way Burt Rutan's SpaceshipOne was never going to be a path to orbital flights (just bunny hops out of the atmosphere).
