A Democrat will be running Ohio's elections in 2028
And Ohio citizens will be able to place amendments / initiatives on the ballot without fear that the Ballot Board will twist the wording
This is massive.

For AGI to benefit all of humanity, it should help people with the everyday tasks that matter most to them. So we built LifeVal, a new benchmark shaped by feedback from thousands of ChatGPT users on where they most want help from a personal assistant—from finding childcare to accessing government services to managing personal finances.
Over the past year, we’ve used LifeVal to measure and improve how well our models handle these everyday tasks.

With Election Day coming next week, be careful not to confuse percent with percentage point. A change from 10% to 13% is a rise of 3 percentage points. This is not equal to a 3% change; rather, it’s a 30% increase.
$5 Million for 30 minutes in 2008 is, what, $3 Billion in today’s ad dollars?
18 YEARS AGO TONIGHT --
The Barack Obama campaign ran a 30-minute infomercial on national TV
The ad aired across seven nets (CBS, NBC, FOX, Univision, MSNBC, BET, TV One) and was seen by 33.55 million viewers
"It's just a stunning number," said CBS chairman Leslie Moonves
The ad cost roughly $5 million to air
Never wrong, just early.
March 2026 was the height of the agentic shift with the large labs rapidly developing and deploying computer use capabilities.
Computer use was the single largest turning point in AI. That era opened my eyes to all the endless possibilities available.

I love the optimism about Dems winning in November - I share it! And: I'm a tiny bit nervous that winning will free folks of the urgency to fix deeper structural problems in our party that will fuck us in the long-haul if we don't grapple with them.

Helluva time to be a Union tradesman 💪
Elon Musk on which jobs AI will replace first:
“If your job involves moving atoms, you’re probably safe for much longer
If it involves moving digits, AI is going to take over those jobs like lightning”
Jobs like welding, electrical work, plumbing, cooking and farming will remain much harder for AI to replace because they require physically interacting with the real world
But jobs that happen entirely behind a computer are entering a completely different era
AI is coming for digital work first and fast

Ossoff: My office is known for world-class service. And what amazes me is how surprised people are to be treated well.
Nancy Lancy's 81 years old in Jesup. Her husband died after years of dementia. She was worn out and alone, and now her affairs as a widow were all wrapped up in this bureaucratic labyrinth, from the VA to the IRS and Social Security. So we took care of things for her. And I'll never forget what she said about it. She said, "This was a new experience, to have someone caring about me."
How has it come to pass that for so many Americans, the experience of genuine care is rare and surprising?

We stopped by Mike’s Gun Shop in Jackson County this week and had a great conversation with Mike — a lifelong resident of Oak Hill, a small business owner, and a union member.
As governor, I’ll respect the Second Amendment and always encourage responsible recreation — traditions that are important to so many Ohio families.
And I’ll support common-sense gun safety that helps protect our children and our communities. We can respect responsible gun ownership while working together to keep Ohioans safe.
