I began localizing PCE RPGs in 2001 but I learned from Steve Harris (pre-@rpgfancom) that Falcom still made Ys games! He gave me Ys I & II which started my 1st PC localization! Sadly the projects would be hijacked by the vile @XSEEDGames in secret collusion to deny me credit.. 🤬

PC Engine CD Localization News: Hi-Leg Fantasy [Games Express] (1994), a "sexier" Final Fantasy knock-off, got an English patch from TruMisery/John who also did Startling Odyssey II ages ago (a project I helped him with)! It's AI-assisted so YMMV. He was able to sub Steam Hearts!

Addendum: Tru also made a System Card 3.0 BIOS patch version so if you use that instead and burn a CD-R, you can play it on ~all NEC PC Engine/TurboGrafx CD systems/units *WITHOUT* the special Games Express BIOS card! That ChatGPT could do this for him shows a lot of power!! 😮

PC Engine CD Localization News: Xak I & II has an English patch with impossible subtitle magic to boot! I began work on Xak III in 2001 & never had a chance with subs or dubs, the easier option. Guess I can retire from the localization biz? Newcomers these days make it look easy!

Another 2 of the top RPGs from the SNES golden era getting ported right after Terranigma! 👍 It has some very good chiptune/music tracks I recorded to VHS as a teen, so OST is top notch too. Being in PC Engine circles/clubs I didn't get to talk much about my other favorites...
