The problem is it isnβt just small GPS discrepancy. These clowns are stopping their watches while taking breaks and/or prior to crossing the finish line. Just start the watch at the start, donβt stop it until you cross the actual finish line, and post your strava file if you want the strava graphic.

This is a first. Nike is making a running shoe specifically for India.
Nike has unveiled Vegam Run, its first running shoe designed specifically for the Indian market. At βΉ3,795, Vegam Run is positioned as a more accessible entry into Nike universe of running shoes.
Unfortunately there are no details on the spec. Given the price, It is safe to assume, it will have EVA/Phylon foam midsole with an engineered mesh. Nike shoes in the similar price range Nike Run Defy, Downshifter and Revolution use similar foams.
Given the recent growth of competing brands (Asics and Puma), some level of defocus (e-commerce outsourced to Nykaa), this is an interesting move from Nike.
It launches on November 1 through Flipkart and select stores. Will be interesting to see how Indian runners respond to it.

I'm not an Elon hater.
I'm just telling you the Honest Truth:
This is a marketing stunt.
The technology is quite old.
Just nobody ever thought of bolting it on a car.
Because it's pointless.
Porsche or Ferrari could also build something like this if they wanted, but they don't, because it's not worth it for them.
It's worth it for Elon though, because his entire brand is all about having the halo of futurism.
His marketing scales especially well with tech gimmicks like this, which is why he is financially incentivised to do them, while others aren't.
Again, I'm not hating, but actually educating yall.
This is not engineering genius.
It's marketing genius.
