GB News' @MichelleDewbs has suggested @itvnews, in the context of balance look into the mysterious resignation of former Labour Chief Whip Nick Brown. Here's a head start.
I am told he buggered a rent boy so badly they have to wear a colostomy bag for the rest of their lives.

We’re getting flying cars and mars colonies before Britain adopts adequate protections for its population’s freedom to speak.
Such protections would finally prevent the state from criminalising you, or regulating you into destitution, for mere words - political, online, ‘grossly offensive’, or otherwise.
If you were curious about what a Freedom of Speech Bill might look like, @prestonjbyrne, @legalstyleblog & I wrote the model bill in April, here: adamsmith.org/research/the-f…
I’ll be explaining why it is necessary, and defending its contents, at @acadofideas’s Battle of Ideas debate tomorrow at noon.

Back in May, Australia threatened US website Gab with jail time for publishing a gag order wrt a censorship hearing.
I responded by asserting my American client's rights.
Australia wrote back again, objecting and referring to my conduct as "disgraceful."
This was my reply.

The @ASI's Freedom of Speech Bill would have provided ironclad statutory protection for both Jenrick's speech, and John Cleese's.
There is no other complete proposal circulating today that would achieve this.
Why hasn't Reform adopted it?

Some in the UK free speech movement said our Freedom of Speech Bill (2026) was too radical.
How many more times is @JohnCleese going to have to be referred to the UK's counter-terrorism directorate over his speech before they realize the solution is right-sized to the problem?
Another terrible week for The Freedom of Speech in Britain.
Passing The Freedom of Speech Bill (2026) appears to be the only proportionate solution offered thus far
This week; Robert Jenrick (@RobertJenrick) & John Cleese (@JohnCleese) were referred to prevent – Britain's anti-terror watchdog – and @oldspeak_books being visited by police in a textbook fishing exercise over online speech.
This clip, from my discussion with the inimitable @NickDixon is of renewed relevance, full video here: youtu.be/1m_wp7YdmMY?si=m2O2…

What British free speech lawyers look like to American free speech lawyers when they explain the UK doesn't need its own version of the First Amendment

Let's say it out loud shall we:
1) Access to the internet, a decentralised space in which the ordinary normie can be put face to face with the ravages of demographic change (Anglo-British people will be a minority in births by 2030) cannot be premitted. That kind of transfer of information cannot be allowed without total identification-based surveillance.
2) Allowing the demographic change to vote for their largest patron party? That is a must, and, one with key electoral incentives for the Labour Party if it is to survive a collapse of our two party system.
We are a nation living in a twee, self-denial riddled, Big Brother House.

I'm informed that certain UK political parties don't like this bill because they're afraid of creating a positive right to freedom of speech.
Wondering how many more times people will have to get harassed by cops over social media posts before they figure out that they need it.
Britain needs its own First Amendment.
At The Battle of Ideas 2026 (by @acadofideas) I’ll be making the case for the Freedom of Speech Bill (2026), and debating with the public on the need for such a bill!
Sat 17 Oct, 12:15–13:30, Church House, Westminster.
You can book tickets in advance, at the link provided here: battleofideas.org.uk
The session, to be chaired by @ProfDHayes, can be found here: battleofideas.org.uk/session…

If wouldn’t have happened if the Freedom of Speech Bill (2026) were law.
Doorstep interactions like this are symptom of the total uncertainty both the public and authorities have over where “lawful speech” ends and begins in Britain, thanks to its confused array of differing thresholds and legislation.
At present 1.2 million ‘recorded incidents’ involving speech are noted by police each year, inclusive of arrests and convictions. 1 in 50 people have experienced this, or worse. The manufacture of ‘Incidents’ like this will continue (and increase) indefinitely without widespread repeals listed below (from the Freedom of Speech Bill which we wrote, and released via @ASI). Until then, police (and. other free-to-use complaint based services, like professional regulators) will continue to be deployed as enforcers to inconvenience political and personal enemies over speech online which ought be untouchable. The complainants, and authorities, need to be de-fanged entirely.
Some of those seeing this interaction with @oldspeak_books have mentioned Non Crime Hate Incidents (NCHIs); these were officially scrapped the day we released the model Freedom of Speech Bill (2026) incidentally – that was the official story, naturally they have simply persisted under another name, and home visits by police remain a routine intimidation tactic in which access beyond PACE powers, confessions, and general abuse of their position of trust is attempted by police.
Never let them into your property under any circumstances when one of these fishing exercises occurs, and yes, do film the interaction in full. A guide on that in @ReinersProject, here: reiners.org.uk/knock-knock-w…
Until we see the repeals listed below, the Englishman’s uncertainty on what he may say will be constantly leveraged against him.

Section 34 dispersal orders (created by the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014) gives the police and PCSOs the power to direct individuals to leave a designated area for up to 48 hours – designed for vagrants, rough sleepers and drunks/crackheads in public spaces. Here, being applied to the entirety of Gosport (population 82,000).
We haven’t seen such an abuse of legislation beyond its intended purpose since the Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984 – designed to contain remote airport and hospital disease outbreaks – was used to place the entirety of Britain under house arrest (lockdown, of 2020).
80,000+ people in Gosport are subjected to the power to 'move people along', which would include from their homes.
Why precisely?
Because they have taken issue with the housing of illegal migrants being processed in their area. The power to do so is derived from a 2014 act.
