At this point I've said literally everything that could be said about my opinion in multiple tweets and replies to people, so I think it's time for me to step away and go do something that actually makes me happy with friends.
That said, one last thing:
I've seen talks about this whole situation being some sort of psyop to make AI usage feel more acceptable in fandom spaces and fuck, you know what? I wouldn't be even remotely surprised if it turns out that's actually the case 🤣
And on this note: I don't know how to explain just how harrowing the current situation is on a worldwide scale. Any form of one of the most human expressions there is, BEING CREATIVE, is under attack constantly, from every side, 24/7
And you guys have one of the very few forms of creativity left that is truly FREE, that the creators themselves FIGHT to keep free (just watch what the general response is whenever someone mentions monetizing fics), with the only form of gain being human interactions...

2- can you guys really not wait a couple of weeks? Or a month at worst? Really. Like if Ao3 was GONE gone then yeah, things would be different
It's just... This whole thing does not compute. Everyone is scrambling around like headless chickens at the idea of a few weeks without fanfics (which is, like, not even true. There are other platforms which are, yes, worse options. But they are there. Or writers SM profiles)
Some of you are really no better than AI bros. The absolute disdain you hold toward creatives is absolutely oozing from each and every word you post on this site. It's disturbing.
Are you seriously SO turned off by one or two asshole writers that now you feel the need to shit all over every single one of them? Or do you just feel like we shouldn't be humans with human thoughts, emotions and flaws?
