Our students are honing the professional skills needed to communicate their research 🎤⚕️📚
At the spring Burnett research symposium, 1️⃣3️⃣ graduate and Ph.D. students presented their research amongst peers and faculty to build their skills as prospective researchers.
The students gained valuable experience by continuing to interact with others and exchange ideas, which prepares them to present at conferences or initiate collaborations.

We are proud to congratulate CERI Director Prof.
@Tuliodna, recognised among ten researchers shaping the future of global health by @EDCTP-@EDCTP3.
His work, including the identification of the Beta and Omicron variants and his ongoing leadership in building genomic surveillance capacity across Africa, is proof of what long-term investment in African science makes possible.
We also extend our congratulations to the nine other researchers featured alongside him. Their work did not begin with recognition. It began with dedication.

If you are not closely following the recent discoveries, it is hard to understand how neuroscientists interpret SARSCoV2 damage to the brain. The figure below summarizes it well, it is a neurological disease. And we need help from other fields to understand it fully. #NeuroCovid
