Dear Trainline. You are misadvising your customers yet again by making up utter nonsense to get out of refunding them. Please note this interaction is being passed to the regulatory bodies as it simply will not do. How on this earth you still have accreditation I will never know.
@robjbeech @RailFareWatch Trainline telling customers that operators should accept a booking confirmation contrary to all the rules. Customer isn’t entirely in the right here but abysmal response from this lot. Should be stripped of accreditation for 101 reasons.
Another example of the railway failing to get it right. If this ticket had been purchased the passenger would have been entitled to use it under contract law, but unfortunately the railway is unregulated and corrupt so they’d more likely have walked away with a criminal record.

@AvantiWestCoast can I just check that this is correct? When trying to book tickets it'd offering me the evening off peak even though I've put in times for this morning? I don't want to buy it and get accused of trying to cheat. It's for Wolverhamp to Birmingham tickets
One minor point. They were made between 01 and 04, so are between 16 and 19 years old. Your points on their current state are perfectly valid though.
But of course you’re not allowed to enforce that, and you wouldn’t anyway as that would involve your staff going and telling people and the unions won’t allow that because nobody is wearing a mask. The whole thing is a farce.
You cannot begin to put into any words how little Northern care about their passengers. They are making more profit from the emergency fund from the taxpayer than they were before hand so they’re loving every minute. 195112 has dry wipe marker on a door handrail. 8 days. Cleaned?
The operator receives compensation from network rail when they are delayed by them. If they can make up time they can minimise the risk of further delays saving themselves money further down the line. Customer service plays no part.
Trainsplit will have advised contacting northern to see if there was anything they could do to help as they can not refund advance singles if trains aren’t cancelled if disrupted. The situation may change in the coming days
Taking home a tidy sum for destroying countless people’s lives. Not interested though. Will probably get to carry on after the franchise change too. Nothing will change.

My daughter left my violin on a train on Tuesday eve. @northernassist saying it's not in lost property. @BTP say it's not stolen until a week after it goes missing. @Twitter please do your magic. It was the 18.42 Leeds to Manchester Victoria arriving at 20.05. Can anyone help? – at Swillington, England
Needless to say there will be admin errors and some will go missing. Many people will give up. Nice little leaving bonus.
It’s almost as if they use no heating or air conditioning so the temperatures inside are similar to those outside isn’t it.
No it’s usually a lie. Buses just don’t materialise half the time as they’re too expensive or other operators who have actually got on with things and tried to be proactive have always booked them already. Of course, they’ll reject claims so they’ll actually profit from this.
>> then go home and your Oyster attempts auto topup that it will be stopped straight away. Have I misunderstood this email or is your new system monumentally customer unfriendly? I can only assume that TfL will benefit from this change. Additionally it’s worth noting that >>
