europeans will ride a train going 200 mph through the alps while drinking wine and americans will sit in traffic on I-95 for three hours eating a gas station sandwich and say "at least i have my freedom" brother you are imprisoned by a honda accord

It’s sad that America made one mega city with good transit and said, “yeah I’m good. Never again. The rest of you get hellish metro sprawl and 14 lane highways.”

Mamdani brought along the fake Daily News front page as a gift for Trump to cajole him into providing funding for a long-stalled plan to build 12,000 apartments on top of Sunnyside Yards, per City Hall & sources.

America is literally the most successful and prosperous country in the history of the world after leading 80 years of globalization but sure, let’s pretend that never happened and destroy that world order rather than update it. Superpower suicide.
Globalization has FAILED.
Secretary Lutnick at the World Economic Forum:
“The Trump Administration and I are here to make a very clear point—globalization has failed the West and the United States of America. It’s a failed policy… and it has left America behind.”
America is done exporting jobs and offshoring its future. We will no longer give in to globalization.

Zohran Mamdani is the first Democratic politician to understand that the way to win Trump over is to play to the fact that he is obviously bisexual
AXIOS: President Trump and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani have texted back and forth recently.
The texting started soon after Trump and Mamdani exchanged numbers during their November meeting, the sources told Axios.
Trump, in particular, lavished praise on Mamdani. "Wow, you are even better-looking in person than you are on TV," the president said when Mamdani entered the Oval Office, according to New York magazine.

Can't be overstated how pathetic it is to have your ultimate colonial fantasy just be a strip mall
SOON the people of Greenland will be free.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Greenland is already a self-governing territory with political freedoms. Full political, economic, and judicial freedom would only come through independence. Polls show a majority support independence, while most oppose becoming part of the U.S.

actually disagree. US cities lapped European cities in the early 1900s, with simple grids and tons of transit. the problem is that we bulldozed most of those cities with highways and parking lots in the 60s
the one American city still standing is the greatest in the world

in a perfect world this would look like hong kong and be the most beautiful megacity on earth instead of being 25% city and 75% suburbs

In case you were wondering there’s not a competent OC who would come to Clemson and just be okay with the QB room as is.

It's a sign of our deep national malaise and shamelessness that Americans are not constantly humiliated that Italy -- Italy!!!! -- is utterly lapping us on transportation technology and infrastructure.
Italy. You know, the country that hasn't had a stable government in 75 years.
