A study of 2.2 million congressional tweets found that Democrats are disproportionately driving the rise in angry political rhetoric. There’s a reason this works so well. Anger and fear narrow attention, accelerate reactions, and can make people less likely to question what they’re being told. Add selective framing, a constant stream of crises, and the suggestion that questioning the narrative means betraying your side. You’ve got a pretty effective way to keep people emotionally invested. And social media rewards every bit of it. The politicians get engagement. The platforms get traffic. Meanwhile, people are so busy reacting to the latest outrage that there’s little attention left for evaluating actual results. I think we should be asking why so much political messaging seems designed to keep people angry rather than informed. Because someone is clearly benefiting from it.

There’s something revealing about people who seem to get satisfaction from tearing others down. Belittling someone offers a temporary feeling of superiority. It’s a convenient substitute for confronting your own insecurities and shortcomings. I intentionally left the author’s name out. She’s easy enough to find, but I’m not interested in rewarding this behavior with more attention.

Is this actually a thing?! A woman in Cook County, Illinois, says she was early voting and selected Republican judicial candidates when a message appeared on her screen: “People are not typically choosing this person!” Excuse me? Since when does a voting machine have an opinion about your choices? If this happened as described, I have some serious questions. Has anyone else experienced this? I’d really like to know.

Dominik Tarczyński walked through Warsaw at 1 AM to make a point that should embarrass half of Europe’s political leaders. Quiet streets. Churches without barricades. Beautiful architecture that hasn’t been vandalized. Imagine that. A country that actually prioritizes protecting its own people, culture, and borders. Meanwhile, France is dealing with riots and looting, and the same political class responsible for decades of failed policies still has the nerve to lecture Poland about tolerance. Europe shouldn’t have to choose between compassion and civilization. Poland understood something its neighbors seem determined to learn the hard way: A country has every right to protect what makes it worth living in.

It’s giving…
A couple were spotted enjoying a drink on a café terrace near the Arc de Triomphe on Saturday, close to where some of the main rioting took place in central Paris.

Watching a little girl dressed as Elsa carrying a sign that says FUCK ICE absolutely baffles me. Mom, let me explain something to you. ICE investigates human trafficking, child exploitation, and dangerous criminals. Without ICE, the very people who pose a threat to your daughter would face one less obstacle. You can walk down that street holding your little girl’s hand, seemingly without a care in the world, while law enforcement works to keep dangerous people off our streets. And you’re teaching your daughter to hate them. She’s too young to understand immigration policy. She doesn’t understand what that sign means. But she’s learning that repeating Mommy’s political opinions gets attention and applause. Your daughter deserves a childhood, not a starring role in your political activism.

Mao’s style cultural revolution is happening in the west. The historic Limoges town hall has just completely collapsed after far-left rioters set it on fire. It was built in 1876. It survived World Wars. It did not survive modern France.

Here’s how it used to look…

This was Gaza before October 7. Hamas and the Palestinians who joined them invaded Israel, massacred civilians, and dragged hostages back into Gaza. They knew Israel would retaliate. They attacked anyway. You don’t get to commit a massacre, start a war, and then demand that the country you attacked show restraint you never had.

THIS IS NOT AN ADHD ISSUE. THIS IS A CULTURE AND PARENT ISSUE If you have young children in school, I strongly encourage you to watch this footage. Because this is the kind of behavior your children and their teachers may be forced to deal with in the classroom. This is bodycam footage of a SIX-YEAR-OLD boy who had just shot his first-grade teacher, Abby Zwerner. Listen to how he speaks to the adults around him. His mother, Deja Taylor, publicly attributed his behavior to ADHD and feeling ignored by his teacher. I’m sorry, but what a spectacular failure of parenting. ADHD can affect impulse control, emotional regulation, and frustration tolerance. It does not adequately explain a child bringing a loaded gun to school and shooting his teacher. Millions of children have ADHD without ever displaying this level of violence. And that language? The profanity, the hostility, the complete contempt for adults? He’s SIX YEARS OLD. Where do you think he learned that? Children learn from their environments. They absorb the language, behavior, and attitudes they’re exposed to. And when inappropriate behavior is repeatedly tolerated or excused, children learn that too. What really gets me is his mother’s claim that he felt ignored. Perhaps his teacher was trying to manage his inappropriate behavior while also teaching an entire classroom of other children. Perhaps she was refusing to reward disruptive behavior with attention. Or perhaps she was simply overwhelmed by a child whose behavior had already required extraordinary accommodations. The suggestion that feeling ignored somehow explains shooting his teacher is outrageous. I’ve worked with children who have significant behavioral problems. I’ve also seen parents who excuse, minimize, and enable those behaviors until everyone else is expected to deal with the consequences. And yes, I’m going to talk about culture. Not race. CULTURE. The culture inside a home. The language children hear. The behavior adults model. Whether disrespect has consequences. Whether children are taught accountability or constantly given excuses for their actions. Those things matter. Deja Taylor failed to secure her firearm and was convicted of felony child neglect. Her son took that gun to school and shot a woman who was simply trying to do her job. Abby Zwerner nearly died. Other children were placed in danger. And his mother’s public explanation centered on ADHD and her son feeling ignored. She later pleaded guilty and expressed some remorse, but I still find her initial explanation appalling. At some point, we need to stop making excuses for piss-poor parenting. Your child’s diagnosis does not absolve you of responsibility. Neither does blaming the teacher, the school, or your child’s feelings. And when parents fail to do their jobs, it’s often innocent people who end up paying the price. Abby Zwerner deserved so much better.

The confidence-to-intelligence ratio here is absolutely staggering. Judaism doesn’t proselytize. Ben wasn’t asking anyone to convert. You could’ve figured this out with a 10-second Google search. Instead, you decided to publicly embarrass yourself AND attack Charlie’s widow.
