Thought this was one of Crowley's best lines of the night, countering Tiffany's persistent attacks on Act 12 and the sales tax: "I worked with the Republican-controlled legislature to pass Act 12 that brought more money to every single city, town and village to invest in fire, invest in police, to invest in EMS services. As a matter of fact, your hometown of Hazelhurst got a 382% increase because of the deal that I brought to the table."

Over and over again in tonight's debate, Tiffany's campaign rhetoric fell apart in the details. He's selling magic beans, telling you he'll cut taxes without cutting key services, telling you he'll magically finish highway construction faster without telling you how, conjuring rhetoric on issue after issue that's completely at odds with his record in Congress supporting Trump and in the state legislature backing Walker and Vos. He demonstrated over and over again how entirely unserious he is about tackling the real issues that actually matter in this state. Meanwhile, Crowley emerged as the night's clear winner, delivering a strong debate performance that reminded us why he's been a rising star in Wisconsin politics, how he'd govern by consensus and seek pragmatic solutions, that he'd be willing to tackle the big, longstanding issues that have plagued our state. We have a lot of work to do, and Crowley is focused on real solutions, not selling you magic beans.
