J.K. Rowling could have kept quiet, banked her billions and stayed everyone's favourite author. She didn't. She put her name, her reputation and her own money on the line for women. She founded Beira's Place, a women-only centre in Edinburgh for survivors of sexual violence. She has funded legal fights to protect women's rights and women-only spaces. And she has given a voice to women who were too scared to speak. For that she has faced years of death threats, rape threats and torture threats. She hasn't flinched once. That's not just a literary legend. That's a hero for women everywhere. 👏🇬🇧

Nobody ever has denied the climate has changed in the past. But never has it changed this fast.. when 10 000 years of relative climatic stability was the foundation of agriculture and human civilisations supporting over 8.3 billion people. How the current climate shift will impact that state is what you should be analysing.

Population growth can boost GDP- but that does NOT mean it's good for the "economy" when you analyse it from a resilience, sustainability & per capita outcome perspective. The idea that GDP adequately reflects the state of the economy/the nation is a seriously bad one.
