As a black person, I am honestly tired of seeing/hearing other black people say things like, “I hate blacks who support the DA,” “The DA is a white party,” or “Only stupid blacks vote for the DA.” Who gave you the authority to decide how another black person should think or vote? Are we not free to make our own political choices? Being black does not mean I must subscribe to a particular political ideology or blindly support a political party because of its historical association with black people. I refuse to have my intelligence questioned simply because I see political value in a party you dislike. We fought for democracy, not for the right to exchange one form of political intolerance for another. You don't own black people's votes, and you certainly don't own their minds. Stop confusing political loyalty with black consciousness. I am just as black as you, even when my cross is next to the DA. Vote @Our_DA

🚱 Understanding Johannesburg's Water Crisis This video does a really good job of explaining the current water crisis and why so many residents are experiencing ongoing interruptions. I encourage everyone to take a few minutes to watch it. It helps put the situation we are facing into perspective. 🎥 youtu.be/C_DAjEMgIJY?si=42dl…

AMASELA AYATATAZELA! 🚨🔥 The DA funded and delivered a new transformer to Meadowlands, and ANC activists immediately tried to take credit - just like Panyaza Lesufi did in Snake Park this week. The ANC in Joburg is desperate and completely finished! #BelieveInJoburg #Zille4Mayor

The way the ANC and other parties are laying into Helen Zille only tells me one thing. She’s on a winning streak and deservedly so.

Parts of Joburg have no water, streetlights are not working, potholes everywhere, no electricity. The DA is polling at 105/270 seats, we only need 31 more seats to win this. Vote DA on both ballots, each person has 2 votes to take us over the line. Do no split them

Does anyone recognise this lady? She is currently at Pretoria Central Police Stations and, unfortunately, appears to have lost her memory. She is unable to recall her name or where she lives. If anyone recognises her or can help us identify her family, please get in touch with the station so we can reunite her with her loved ones.

1. On 4 November 2026, in 10 days, JHB goes to the polls to elect its mayor. I have previously argued that Helen Zille is the only sensible candidate to vote for in this race. This would be a vote for the DA. The importance of this vote was underscored on a recent visit to JHB.

Good day, residents 👋 Following the recent announcement of the DA’s ward candidates, I am honoured to share that I have been selected as the DA Ward Councillor Candidate for Ward 98 in the upcoming Local Government Elections. Following the elections on 4 November, the new Ward 98 will include Boskruin, Bromhof, Kelland and Windsor West, as well as portions of Randpark Ridge and Fairland. Many of you already know me. I currently serve as a Johannesburg ward councillor and already represent and work with several of the communities that will become part of the new Ward 98. Over the past five years, I have worked daily with residents on the issues that affect us most, electricity and water outages, roads and stormwater, refuse collection, streetlights, public spaces and other service-delivery challenges. My priorities for Ward 98 are simple: 🔵 Reliable electricity, water and basic services 🔵 Better roads, stormwater infrastructure and public spaces 🔵 A responsive, accessible and accountable councillor I look forward to meeting many more Ward 98 residents over the coming months, listening to your priorities and continuing to fight for our communities. There is a lot of work ahead and I am ready to get to work. Devon Steenkamp DA Ward 98 Candidate 💙

The Minister of water and Sanitation is in Ethiopia. She wasn't allowed to attend SoNA due to the ongoing water crisis but could take a flight and leave the country?

@FlySafair – are you actually going to take action against the unruly EFF passengers who disrupted the recent flight to East London/PE? Chanting, singing, and causing a disturbance mid-air isn't 'vibes' – it's against the Civil Aviation Act. Civil Aviation Act 13 of 2009. Specifically, Section 135 makes it a punishable criminal offence for a passenger to engage in unruly or disruptive behaviour on board an aircraft. This includes actions that disrupt the operations of the aircraft, endanger safety, or interfere with the crew's duties. How can paying passengers trust FlySafair for a safe, peaceful flight when crew apparently let this go unchecked? Will you enforce your policies and ban repeat offenders, or is safety optional now? @OfficialSACAA @EFFSouthAfrica PLEASE SHARE TO RAISE AWARENESS.

32.9% unemployment? After 31 years of ANC rule, we don’t have jobs, we don’t have lights, we don’t have water—but we do have slogans and T-shirts every election.
