In Virginia, voters approved ballot measures to expand abortion rights and remove a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage. Both passed by wide margins, but the abortion referendum had a higher margin of victory by nearly ten percentage points.

Earlier this year, Lynchburg Republicans held a firehouse primary, a primary ran by the party rather than the government, and the RINO candidates all lost. So, they complained to the Virginia Republican Party and got the results invalidated then dissolved the local GOP committee

Less than 24 hours after winning, Governor-elect Amy Klobuchar told reporters the gun bill "is going to get passed" and "certainly should be one of our top priorities." She didn't say it in her speech. She promised to move Minnesota "not to the left or to the right" and spent her prepared remarks on fraud, jobs, housing and health care. Guns came up only when a reporter asked. That bill is SF 4067: a rifle ban, a 17-round magazine cap, and mandatory certification of firearms you already own. It passed the Senate by one vote.
