As lockdown extends another 4 weeks in Sydney, + my country home town now in lockdown, anger at the ineptitude of vaccine distribution and take-up here in Australia made me draw this. We should have put this fire out by now.

I love Changesets. I can automatically publish to npm and GitHub with proper release notes just by merging a PR. In fact, I just did it on my phone while sitting on the couch.

Most developers seem intimidating when they talk about code because you lack the familiarity they have! It’s not because they’re smarter. It’s because they’ve spent absurd numbers of hours in a codebase you haven’t.

The time I DID burn out was when I was blocked from doing the things that gave me that feeling of engagement and connection. You CAN burnout from lack of engagement as well as over-engagement. It goes both ways.

The vast majority of creators who have “made it” have done so because they had an incredible support system in place—often times receiving literal financial support from their spouses/family while they worked to get their foot in the door. Almost no one gets there on their own.
