Everything feels hard right now but tonight my neighbor called and asked if I wanted to listen to Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On on vinyl (duh!), so I wore my mask and brought my hepa air purifier 😝 and we listened and ended up sharing some songs we wrote and I feel more okay.
Not sure if it’s still on-going but looks like there’s a clinical trial on PEM at Yale:

They are actually trying to justify an American WaPo journalist being severely beaten by a mob of settler terrorists.

The facts surrounding the confrontation near Abu Falah, during which Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine was allegedly assaulted, remain unclear and are under investigation.
Israel unequivocally condemns violence against anyone—Jews, Arabs, Christians or journalists. Those responsible will be held accountable.
But serious questions remain. Reports indicate some 200 Arabs and far-left activists confronted approximately 40 Israeli youths. Footage shows masked individuals on both sides hurling objects, amid reports of fireworks fired at Jewish youths. Other footage appears to show Levine knocked down and immediately helped to her feet by the same unidentified individual.
The investigation must establish the facts, including who initiated the violence.
We will not allow disputed incidents to be exploited to demonize the hundreds of thousands of law-abiding Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria.
The facts must determine the conclusions. Not the headlines.

When she looked at it more closely she asked if it was a “double-mask”, she’d never seen one like that.
I clarified it’s just an N95 (V-flex), super breathable!
This doesn’t work because most people will say “Don’t worry - I’m not infectious anymore!” even if it’s not true.
All this walking on egg shells. Instead we could have clean air tools in offices and public spaces, do regular testing as a requirement, encourage masking and so on.

Tbh it’s hard to have a successful conversation about Covid mitigations in almost any space 😭
A lot of the time people are reactive, defensive, condescending, insulting or patronizing whether cc or non cc.
Random anecdote: I happened to do some minor weight-lifting exercises (rows, curls, etc) *before* getting my Nuvaxovid shot yesterday, and this is the first time I’ve had practically zero arm pain the day after.
Education being so effin unaffordable and then getting non-stop messaging that your intended job will be replaced/obsolete or that we’ll all d*e - what effect does this have on newer generations that are just graduating from high-school and deciding on a career path?
If you are in Massachusetts delete all your social media posts on the Lindsay Clancy trial before the next jury duty mail is sent out 😅
