In 2019, Marnus Labuschagne took a Jofra Archer delivery to the helmet, walked back out as Test cricket's first-ever concussion substitute, and top-scored with 59 at Lord's. Australia had found a warrior. Seven years later, the same country is wondering whether he deserves a place in the XI. Cricket really has the shortest memory in the world. 😭💀 Back then, Marnus was the ultimate fighter. The guy who could walk into one of the most hostile environments in cricket, survive a frightening blow, and help Australia save an Ashes Test. His concentration was praised, his determination was celebrated, and his hunger for Test cricket made him one of Australia's most important batters. Fast-forward to 2026, and suddenly, the same Marnus is a selection headache. The runs have dried up, the big scores have become increasingly rare, and Australia's patience is being tested ahead of a series decider against South Africa. Apparently, you're a warrior when you score runs and a liability when you don't. Welcome to international cricket. 😂 But jokes aside, Australia have a genuine decision to make. You cannot keep selecting someone purely because of what they did years ago, but replacing an experienced Test batter after a difficult period doesn't automatically solve your batting problems either. Australia were bowled out for 99 in the previous Test. If the selectors believe Marnus is the problem, they need to explain why replacing him is the right solution rather than addressing the wider batting collapse. The man who once walked into Lord's and became an Ashes hero is now fighting to keep his place seven years later.

That delivery in the 2021 Border-Gavaskar Trophy was a brutal reminder of how unforgiving international cricket can be. 💀🔥 Mitchell Starc came charging in, unleashed a vicious delivery, and Prithvi Shaw's technical vulnerabilities were exposed almost instantly. A batter who had once been celebrated as India's next great opening sensation suddenly looked completely out of his depth against elite fast bowling. But the most interesting part of this story isn't the delivery itself. It's what happened to the expectations surrounding Shaw. Indian cricket has a serious habit of turning young talents into superstars before they've actually established themselves at the highest level. One extraordinary domestic season, a few impressive innings, and suddenly the comparisons begin. The next Sachin, the next Sehwag, the next superstar. 🤦 INDIA DOESN'T HAVE A SHORTAGE OF BATTING TALENT. IT HAS A PROBLEM WITH HOW QUICKLY WE DECLARE YOUNG BATTERS THE NEXT BIG THING. 🚨

Think about the pressure for a second. There is no room to hide, no time to recover from a mistake, and absolutely no margin for error. The opposition knows exactly what it wants to do, the crowd is waiting for fireworks, and every delivery can decide the game. Yet Narine delivered a masterclass in control, composure and deception when the pressure was at its highest. And this is exactly why judging bowlers purely by wickets and economy rates is such a lazy way of analysing T20 cricket. Sometimes, the biggest contribution isn't taking three wickets or celebrating after every delivery. Sometimes, it's making world-class batters look completely clueless when they have only six balls to change the game. Narine has spent years proving that mystery spin isn't just about having a bag of variations. It's about understanding batters, controlling their options and forcing them to play on the bowler's terms. A maiden Super Over is the ultimate statement of that skill.

New Zealand playing absolute musical chairs with their pacers! 🇳🇿😭 Trailing 2-0 against India, the Black Caps have announced a highly unconventional rotation system to survive the series: 🔹 Lockie Ferguson skips the 3rd T20I 🔹 Matt Henry sits out the entire rest of the series 🔹 Matt Fisher flies in for the 3rd T20I ONLY before getting sent back to India A duty 🔹 Kyle Jamieson drops in for one game, plays domestic cricket, then rejoins the ODI team When you're 2-0 down, every match becomes a must-win, and continuity matters. Bowlers need rhythm, combinations need time to settle, and captains need to know exactly which resources they have available. Constant changes can make an already difficult situation even harder. Of course, workload management and long-term fitness matter, and New Zealand cannot afford to burn out their key pacers. But there's a difference between managing workloads intelligently and making fans feel like the bowling lineup has a different terms-and-conditions policy before every match. 💀

INDIA’S INJURY CRISIS IS NO LONGER JUST BAD LUCK. IT’S A SYSTEM THAT NEEDS ANSWERS. 🚨🇮🇳 Aakash Chopra is raising a question Indian cricket can no longer afford to ignore. Hardik Pandya, Harshit Rana, Jasprit Bumrah, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar — when the same names keep appearing in fitness and rehabilitation discussions, something deserves serious scrutiny. The packed schedule, the IPL-to-international turnaround and the constant workload on key players are obvious concerns. But what makes matters worse is the lack of clear communication from the BCCI and the CoE. Fans hear that a player is recovering, selectors pick players subject to fitness, and suddenly the team is planning another series without knowing who will actually be available. 🤦‍♂️

🚨 SHREYAS IYER: “JOB HALF DONE!” — SOMEONE SHOULD CHECK WHO DID THE OTHER HALF. 😭💀 Shreyas Iyer posts “Job half done!” after a 4-wicket win, but scoring just 7 runs before watching the lower order rescue the situation is certainly one way to get the job done. 😂 India find themselves at 70/5, the middle order is in trouble, and suddenly the lower order has to turn into the main characters. But hey, a win is a win, right? Who cares about the batting collapse when someone else is there to clean up the mess? 😭 The funniest part is how victories can make every individual performance look acceptable. If the team wins, the celebration begins and the questions about personal contributions can apparently wait until the next collapse. Of course, Shreyas deserves credit for leading a winning side, but leadership shouldn't make anyone immune to criticism. In modern T20 cricket, reputation doesn't score runs, and the lower order cannot be expected to play superhero every time the top order disappears. Maybe the job is half done because the lower order had to do the other half. 💀

🚨 A 16-YEAR-OLD NEW ZEALAND SPINNER HAS CAUGHT INDIA'S ATTENTION! 🇳🇿 Mason McLaughlin reportedly bowled both Abhishek Sharma and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi during India's optional practice session ahead of the second T20I.😳 The teenager's performance reportedly impressed Gautam Gambhir and Sitanshu Kotak, who were surprised to learn his age. Imagine being 16 and getting the chance to trouble two of India's most exciting young batters in the nets.🔥 Of course, getting a batter out in practice doesn't guarantee success in an international match. But these are exactly the kinds of moments that can put an unknown talent on the radar.😍

🚨 KAPIL DEV JUST SAID WHAT MODERN CRICKET DOESN’T WANT TO HEAR. 🤯 “Everyone wants to be a batsman today. Batsmen are like officers, bowlers are like workers. People just want to sit in air-conditioned rooms.” And honestly, there’s an uncomfortable truth behind this statement. Modern cricket has turned batting into a superstar business, while fast bowling is still a job that demands punishment. Sixes get celebrated, strike rates get worshipped, and a 200-strike-rate cameo can make someone a household name. Meanwhile, a bowler can defend 10 runs in the final over, deliver under enormous pressure, and still get blamed for conceding one boundary.💔 cricket cannot keep making life easier for batters while expecting bowlers to keep producing miracles. If a batter misses a big shot, it’s often called an aggressive approach. If a bowler misses a yorker by a few inches, it becomes a meme. One gets praised for taking risks; the other gets punished for making mistakes.🤷‍♂️ Kapil Dev’s point goes beyond batting versus bowling. It’s about a cricket culture that increasingly celebrates the glamour of scoring runs but often overlooks the physical sacrifice, skill and mental pressure required to take wickets. WITHOUT GREAT BOWLERS, THERE IS NO GREAT BATTING. A 200-run innings means very little if the opposition has nobody capable of challenging it.

🚨 RINKU SINGH IS SCORING CENTURIES, WHILE INDIA A HAVE JUST BEEN BOWLED OUT FOR 113 AGAINST NEW ZEALAND A. 🤯 India A's top order suffered a shocking collapse in today's unofficial Test, with five batters dismissed for ducks. Meanwhile, Rinku Singh has smashed back-to-back Ranji Trophy centuries, scoring 112 against Bihar and an unbeaten 118 against Goa. And yet, Rinku isn't even part of India's India A squad for this series.😳 one bad innings doesn't mean these players don't deserve their opportunities, and Ranji Trophy performances don't automatically guarantee a place in the Test team. But when a batter is consistently converting domestic opportunities into hundreds, his exclusion deserves serious scrutiny. The bigger question is whether Indian cricket is rewarding consistent domestic performances or simply sticking with its existing pool of favourites.🤔 India A's collapse makes the debate even more interesting. Nobody is asking selectors to drop players after one failure, but if domestic cricket is the pathway to international cricket, why isn't Rinku Singh's outstanding red-ball form enough to earn him a place in the India A setup?🤷‍♂️

Glenn Phillips fires back at reporter after New Zealand's defeat. After India's win, he pushed back on questions about dropped catches. You can't expect soft questions after a loss, but reporters should keep criticism fair. Was Philips right to challenge the reporter, or should he have accepted the criticism and taken responsibility?

SOURAV GANGULY APPROACHES DELHI HIGH COURT OVER FILM DOOSRA! 🚨 Former India captain Sourav Ganguly moved the Delhi High Court over the alleged unauthorized use of his identity in the film.😳 The court declined to halt the film's release, but the controversy raises a bigger issue: filmmakers shouldn't automatically get a free pass to commercialize a real cricketer's identity just because their story is inspired by public events. Creative freedom matters, but a cricketer's legacy shouldn't become someone else's business opportunity without proper consideration of their rights. The line between inspiration and exploitation deserves far more scrutiny.

Amit Mishra claims Virat Kohli promised to get back to him about an India comeback after his injury, but weeks passed without a response. Mishra had taken 15 wickets in India’s 2016 ODI series against New Zealand, winning Player of the Series, yet never played for India again.

🚨 HARSHА BHOGLE & DINESH KARTHIK RAISE THE BIG QUESTION ABOUT INDIA'S NEVER-ENDING CRICKET CALENDAR! 👀🇮🇳 Indian cricketers are constantly moving between international series, the IPL and other franchise leagues, with barely any breathing room between commitments. Fans want more matches, broadcasters want bigger revenues, and franchises want their stars available. But who is actually looking after the players? The hypocrisy is hard to ignore. You cannot demand that players represent India with maximum intensity throughout the year while pretending workload management is just an excuse. At the same time, players and their management must also take responsibility for the commitments they choose to accept. The bigger question is whether Indian cricket is prioritising the quality of the game or simply maximising the quantity of matches. More cricket might mean more money, but it doesn't automatically mean better cricket.📉

🚨 SOUTH AFRICA HAVE HUMILIATED AUSTRALIA — AND THE SERIES IS NOW LEVEL! Australia have been beaten by an innings and 31 runs despite Travis Head fighting back with a century. The worrying part for Australia is that one individual performance cannot keep rescuing a batting lineup. South Africa have exposed their weaknesses in both innings, and the pressure will now be on the selectors ahead of the decider. The final Test is suddenly massive. 🥶🔥

🚨 DINESH KARTHIK DEFENDS BHUVNESHWAR KUMAR AFTER HIS EXPENSIVE COMEBACK! 🤯 Bhuvneshwar Kumar conceded 49 runs without taking a wicket in his first T20I in nearly four years against New Zealand. Dinesh Karthik suggested that nerves may have played a part in the veteran pacer's performance, but the comeback was far from ideal. India need experienced bowlers who can handle pressure, but Bhuvneshwar will have to prove that he still has what it takes to compete at the highest level.

🚨 NAMAN DHIR'S JOURNEY TO INDIA'S RECORD CHASE IS INCREDIBLE! 🇮🇳❤️ Naman Dhir nearly gave up on cricket in 2022 and considered moving to Canada before his father encouraged him to give the sport another year. Fast-forward to today, and he has produced an unbeaten 42 off just 15 balls to help India pull off a record T20I chase against New Zealand. His explosive finish proved how quickly circumstances can change in professional cricket. One more year of persistence changed the direction of his career. Sometimes, the player who gets the opportunity at the right moment becomes the biggest story of the match. 🙌🥹
