As the matches hit the 12th and 13th we suggest you watch @garrett_TFE's explanation on why OCM's redesign of the Lake Kadijah holes works so well at Medinah No. 3 ⬇️
The OCM-redesigned holes around Lake Kadijah at Medinah No. 3 have been a delight this week.

The clearest winner of the @PresidentsCup was @MedinahCC, #3, and @OCMGolf. Course was every bit as brilliant as we'd hoped (and expected). Reckon the lads will have a pretty busy next 10 years coming up. Awesome.

The 12th hole is just phenomenal. Both tee boxes they've used ask very specific questions, and the margin for error is very small.
It's exactly how a short par-4 should play.

Been doing some live course analysis in the @fried_egg_golf Live Blog this week. Follow along here, if you're into that kind of thing: live.thefriedegg.com/2026-pr…
Some very cool pins out there today that we very much had in mind when building the course. Tournament 1, 2, 8 and 17 should be especially fun.

Medinah’s latest iteration of holes six and seven creates more danger and requires more tactical plotting. 🔥

This was a bit of a new format for this series. Instead of focusing on one hole, we analyze Medinah's history of change and the 😳 re-conception.
Thoughts? I don't know if the course will play "harder" but that wasn't the goal. The goal was to make it more varied and interesting. Box is checked.

With the @PresidentsCup arriving at @MedinahCC, a before & after of Course No. 3: new green complexes, bolder bunkering, wider fairways, a rerouted finish around Lake Kadijah and the fence-line holes at 1,2 & 3. Can't wait to see it tested.

"Eight is probably one of my favorite holes that we did."
There will be a lot of attention on the fence and lake holes at Medinah No. 3 this week, but the hole @MikeCocking is most intrigued to see is the par-4 8th (will play as the 4th hole during the Presidents Cup.)

What do you think of in course out of bounds stakes?
OCM added a boundary fence to Medinah that is out of bounds. It’s very much in play on 3 holes.
With the Presidents Cup coming to Medinah, we get to see the first look at OCM’s amazing renovation work. I hope that these fences will come into play.
Boundary out of bounds are pretty common in the UK, but generally in the USA out of bounds is frowned upon when man made and not an actual property line.
I think it’s a brilliant idea! I wouldn’t want it to be used too often, but its limited use is great to add strategy and variety.

At the 2026 @PresidentsCup, we get to admire what Geoff Ogilvy, Mike Cocking, Ashley Mead, and their team at @OCMGolf accomplished in redesigning @MedinahCC No. 3 outside of Chicago.

The reintroduction of the boundary fence to holes 5-7 at Medinah No. 3 was a provocative choice by OCM, but an intelligent solution rooted in history.

An excellent video from Golf Digest on the work Geoff Ogilvy, Mike Cocking and Ashley Mead (@OCMGolf) have done at Medinah.
It's hard to believe this is the same course the 2012 Ryder Cup was played on. Hats off to all involved 👏
