I'm wanting to figure out why the schedule is up 2 days before the event. I've got friends as a part of this event. I'll be watching and showing support and GGs to them, but I feel like this event was either VERY rushed, or something got in the way.

I'm hearing some major bullshit from the FGC about "No Names" beating "Legends" in a Bo3 format. For example Young Matt beating Angrybird, and Ireflexx beating EndingWalker at ETC this past weekend. (Both matches were Classic Vs. Classic control schemes) "Best of 3 is breaking the integrity of the game." "(Street Fighter) 6 is such a bad game." Punk actually said that he would like the Top 16 to be Best of 5.... What does that mean? Top 8/4 would be Best of 7? If you can find clips of it somewhere I want to Introduce you to Super Battle Opera, a Japanese tournament that ran for 11 years and ended up being a Bo1 format, with no loser/lower bracket. I remember Justin Wong and Mike Ross (I think it was those 2 with Floe as well) going over and getting bounced in round 1.... No one was complaining that it was a 1 game match. My how 12 years have caused the FGC Twitterverse to bitch and complaing about something they have absolutely no control over.

I just asked @NickRPGreen if he had a couch and he said "Not yet." I then offered nothing but puns and jokes as a complete throwaway, thinking that he would want someone on a GDQ marathon couch to have some idea of what the run is. Me, @ateatree and THEKyleThomas were basically given instructions to do basically 1 thing: "To go Ribbit, Ribbit when I get a Kerotan." I asked one question for clarification during the run, then a hour into it someone in chat typed "FROGGY!" and it gave me a idea.... You should just watch the entire run for what I did. Flash back to set up about 30 minutes before the run, and it was "Kerotan Incentive live" Then less than a minute later... "Kerotan Incentive met". A $5000 donation hit 4 incentives, and fully meeting the MGS3 incentive. Beacuse of this, I wanted to know exactly the series of events that lead to this marathon being ran for @DirectRelief . Hurricane Helne made landfall: September 26th GDQ Announces #DRDQ: October 3rd Run Submissions Open: October 3rd Run Submissions Close : October 6th Games Committee Goes to Work: October 6th Schedule Goes Live: October 8th Day One of #DRDQ: October 11th THEY PLANNED AND EXECUTED THE ENTIRE THING IN 2 WEEKS!!! They had 27 DAYS of submissions as well. That's just completely insane knowing exactly how long it took them to get every thing together. Also we've raised $40,000 in 3 days (with a few more runs left) and I'm honored to be working with these beautiful humans, who have helped raise money to help those in need. <3
