I think that people on ct are beginning to get sick of the insane amount of mass extracting that’s been going on for the past month or two from EVERY single party that you could think of.
Kols, pumpfun, kimchi, vape cabals, the nameless 10k topper extractors, the fomo copy trader rapers etc etc.
I believe that this will lead to a situation that’s similar to what happened almost a year ago at the bottom of the bear market. People ran out of money to trench, there was no volume on any new pair, and the sentiment on ct was in the gutter, but in the middle of all of that a new idea began to form:
“what’s the point of trenching new pairs if it’s impossible to make money from them? What if I take a different approach to making money?”
And that was when all these new gen community coins came to life (buttcoin, triple t, maxxing, wtdd, hodl and a bunch more that sadly didn’t make it to the bull market)
People started rotating to strong community coins with great narratives, which is how a few of them reached these 8 figure highs at the bottom of the bear market.
The point is that I think a rotation back to strong community coins that have survived the entire bear market is coming very soon.
Conditions right now are the same as the conditions at the bottom of the bear market:
1) New pairs going to zero in a day (despite all the new capital flowing in these past few months)
2) most people have lost a lot of money last month and are sick of it
3) disgusting ways of extracting like we’ve never seen before
And an overall feeling of dread.
Plus solana bottoming at 100 dollars, us being at the beginnings of a bull market, and some of the best community coins that crypto has ever seen existing right now at dirt cheap prices all works in community coins favor.
I’ve placed my bet on solana:Cm6fNnMk7NfzStP9CZpsQA2v3jjzbcYGAxdJySmHpump to be the out-performer of all the established community coins:
*it’s the only buttcoin that’ll ever exist ever in the history of the world
*ip is a few months away from being achieved
*the creator of the term buttcoin is literally the one running the buttcoin x account and bagworking everyday
*billionaire has 10% of the supply locked and has had it locked since 9 months now
*abundance of patient whales that have been sleeping on their buttcoin bags for MONTHS (that’s a decade in crypto terms)
*the most important part: a resilient community that has refused to die during the entire 9 months of buttcoins existence and the entire bear market at that
It’s also yet to have an actual bull run worthy run.

Thought I’d do a quick refresher post on the history of $Buttcoin for anyone peeping us for the first time.
- Started in 2011 by myself, Barry Oners. Yes, I am original guy that’s devving this token.
- The first “memecoin” before memecoins, two years before Dogecoin was born.
- Buttcoin is a direct play on Bitcoin. I set up the Twitter, the Subreddit and our original site Buttcoin.org in May/June 2011
- Started as a satire of the early crypto days, a humorous take on the whole scene.
- As we shone the spotlight we had a lot of early interactions with many in the crypto space like Vitalik, cobie and others who embraced us.
- Our blog also did some investigative articles on shady players back in the day which led to us being secretly purchased by a company called Butterfly Labs.
- BFL was shut down by the FTC who seized all their assets, including the original Buttcoin website. Our name is in a federal database!
- We relaunched the blog on a new site, ButtcoinFoundation.org and got more active on X and Reddit.
- Over the years many tokens have been launched using my name and logo but I’ve never endorsed any of them. As a result most ended up being run poorly or were outright scams.
- In January 2026 I decided that I had to take matters into my own hands, link up with a good crew and launch an actual $Buttcoin token to celebrate the history and lore of not just myself but of crypto as a whole.
Buttcoin isn’t a coin about butts, it’s a coin about the entire history of crypto and the communities within. 15 years in the making.
