The PNG Chiefs have sold 10,000 jerseys within the first 24 hours of their release.
The club is charging $30 dollars for a t-shirt style jersey whilst the league has ensured their main replica jersey can sell for $100 which is lower than most clubs.

The PNG Chiefs have continued their audacious recruitment spree by targeting All Blacks star Damian McKenzie about a code switch following the World Cup.
The Chiefs spoke to McKenzie's management about the prospect of poaching McKenzie for their inaugural season.
Even though McKenzie is contracted to the NZRU until 2029 - there's a sabbatical clause in his contract for one season that allows McKenzie to play abroad in 2028.

We're at that inflection point now where just enough people are taking @IntlRugbyLeague seriously enough they'll compare it to truly international sports and sink the boot it. That's a big achievement for #rugbyleague. Never happened before in my lifetime. A generational shift.

βI call a βlocal playerβ a player that comes through your junior pathways,β Millward said.
βA good example, everyone criticises the Roosters, but they recruit elite players in and they put them in their pathways and make them even better.β
This logic is hard for so many though.
The Perth Bears have the unique situation of navigating a pool of affiliate talent across three states.
In a pathways deep dive, we reveal how the new NRL franchise is building for long-term success before their first kick-off.

Even with the rugby union figures not accounting for Stan, a rugby league international not involving Australia getting double the audience on free-to-air TV than the Bledisloe is wild.
International rugby league is in an extremely good place.
