We recently doubled our Internet connection uplink speed and yesterday we hit a new record of 1.77 Gbit/s soon after this week's planet.osm release. prometheus.openstreetmap.org… 🌍🗺️🤓🆙

Here you go... The server cost £28k in 2013. More specs here: github.com/openstreetmap/ope… More disk bays than expected ;-)

The service is now operations again and back in normal service.

Maintenance alert: our services might be offline briefly during the next two hours while we upgrade our network equipment in our Amsterdam data center.

We had a destroyed CR2032 battery. Battery casing had split open.

Thankfully our main DC temperature is rock solid. PDU1 is inlet side, PDU2 is outlet side.

A bit of background: We recently upgraded tile render servers to Ubuntu 22.04. Distro apache package when using mpm event is defective under high load. Specifically we believe due to bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_… and bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_… We manually backported apache 2.4.54 as fix.
