SDSS-IV MaNGA: pattern speeds of barred galaxies

HELP: A catalogue of 170 million objects, selected at 0.36-4.5 $\mu$m, from 1270 deg.$^{2}$ of...

We present an optical to near-infrared selected astronomical catalogue covering 1270 deg.$^2$. This is the first attempt to systematically combine data from 23 of the premier extragalactic survey...

The orbital content of bars: the origin of ‘non-x1-tree’, bar-supporting orbits

ABSTRACT Recently, many orbital studies in barred galaxy potentials have revealed the existence of orbits that are not trapped around x1-tree orbits, but could be potentially appropriate building...

Three- and two-point spatial correlations of intergalactic medium at z ∼ 2 using projected quasar...

We present analysis of two- and three-point correlation functions of Lyα forest (at 2 ≤ z ≤ 2.5) using X-Shooter spectra of three background quasar triplets probing transverse separations of 0.5-1.6...

Cooperation on Readmission in the Euro-Mediterranean Area and Beyond: Lessons Learned and Unlearned

The three contributions contained in this study have opted to go beyond the recurrent reference to reluctance and uncooperativeness by shedding light on the agency of non-EU countries located in the...

Persistent Organic Pollutants Burden, Trophic Magnification and Risk in a Pelagic Food Web from...

The storage capacity, trophic magnification and risk of sixty-two POPs have been evaluated in a well-characterized pelagic food web (including phytoplankton, zooplankton, six fish, and two cephalop...

Scientific diving in France: an overview of the current practices in science

The French National Committee for Scientific Diving (CNPS) takes on different tasks including acting as an observatory of occupational scientific diving practices and innovations (Thouzeau et al.,...

Sample return of primitive matter from the outer Solar System

The last thirty years of cosmochemistry and planetary science have shown that one major Solar System reservoir is vastly undersampled in the available suite of extra-terrestrial materials, namely...

Mid-late holocene accretional history of low-lying, coral-reef rim islets, South-Marutea Atoll,...

South-Marutea Atoll is located in the Gambier Island Group, at the south-eastern end of the Tuamotu Archipelago, French Polynesia, central South Pacific. Understanding the modalities of islet...

Review of the deformation styles during the Cretaceous Tethyan period: inferred from slumps and...

In northern Tunisia, the Cretaceous period is described as a spectacular episode of soft-sediment deformations exposed for several kilometers. These gravity-driven deformations are interpreted to be...

The clustering of the SDSS-IV extended Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey DR16 luminous red...

We perform a multi-tracer analysis using the complete Sloan Digital Sky Survey IV (SDSS-IV) extended Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (eBOSS) DR16 luminous red galaxy (LRG) and the DR16...

SPIRou: NIR velocimetry and spectropolarimetry at the CFHT

This paper presents an overview of SPIRou, the new-generation near-infrared spectropolarimeter/precision velocimeter recently installed on the 3.6-m Canada–France–Hawaii Telescope (CFHT). Starting...

Kinematics of RR Lyrae stars in the Galactic bulge with OGLE-IV and Gaia DR2

ABSTRACT We analyse the kinematics and spatial distribution of 15 599 fundamental-mode RR Lyrae (RRL) stars in the Milky Way bulge by combining OGLE-IV photometric data and Gaia DR2 proper motions....
