Connecting what matters, where it matters most. Remote IoT networks for the world’s hardest places.

We’ve been deep in building a new generation of machine learning-enabled Ducks. Low-power LoRa mesh radios that run 24/7, off-grid, in places where connectivity doesn’t exist. This summer we’re heading back to Costa Rica with Arizona State University + Phoenix Zoo. Deploying in La Amistad National Park to detect and map the endangered three-wattled bellbird using embedded ML, directly on-device. What started as sensing is turning into something bigger: A fully off-grid, machine learning radio network, running in the middle of the rainforest. More soon.

With no power grids and no cell coverage, how do you run Machine Learning on the edge in remote, and austere environments? This week, @taraqur and Owen O'Donnell took the stage at @PyTorch Conference Europe spotlighting the work Garth Paine from ASU and OWL is doing to run Machine Learning on the edge in truly austere environments. We'll be putting these methods to the test in Costa Rica, detecting Three-wattled Bellbirds as part of an incredible wildlife conservation project. This is just the beginning! We'll be sharing a lot more about the project and what we've been building over the coming months.

Getting data out of remote environments is the real problem. Sensors work, but once you leave reliable connectivity the data never makes it out. That’s what OWL is built for. We don’t replace your hardware, we integrate with the sensors and systems you already use and handle the network in between. No rebuilding your stack, just a reliable path for your data to move.

Connectivity ends where infrastructure fails. We built OWL for the places beyond. After years of validating our QuackerBoard hardware via balloon missions, our research payload launches later this month on a CubeSat platform with the Cal Poly CubeSat Laboratory. Reaching further to stay connected. More soon. owlintegrations.com/early-ac…

Deploy sensors across the field. Track equipment in real time Monitor operations from anywhere. OWL turns farmland into a connected network. The Pulse of the Farm.

Our Ducks talk to each other first, forming a local mesh network instead of relying on the internet at every node. Data moves across the deployment until it reaches a gateway, where it’s stored locally or sent to the cloud. Less dependency. Lower power. Built-in resilience. Infrastructure that keeps working when other networks don’t.

The Duck goes where the work goes. 🦆 OWL deploys in seconds so heavy equipment, sensors, and teams stay connected without waiting on infrastructure. Instant deployment, limitless connectivity. Never Blink.

Inside the OWL Workshop with the founders. 🔎 The goal: Professional-grade infrastructure that deploys in seconds. No tools. No config. Just a signal that never blinks. We’ve stabilized the hardware. Now it’s time for the stress tests. Where are you taking the Pulse? START BUILDING.
