Meanwhile, accountants are fighting for their lives.
Some are sending auditors schedules that doesn't tie to the trial balance.
Auditors, on the other hand, don't even know what they are doing.
Internal auditors just appear to have a natural rivalry with external auditors and they hate accountants.😭
Women who are still praying for the fruit of the womb would be pissed at these idiots casually describing pregnancy as a death sentence.
People are out there spending millions on consultations, treatments, and procedures just to experience the joy of getting pregnant, and this is what these f00ls are calling death sentence.
Ori gbogboyin ti daru meh.
Are all the pilots who have been flying him around the world also tithers? Or does tyre bursting only apply to poor drivers that are not tithing?😀
We don't move like this at my Local Church.
Anyway, just so we’re clear, this is not the Gospel of Christ. We can all agree on that.
“It is very dangerouš to buy Christmas clothes without paying your Tithe. If you drive and you don’t pay tithe, two tyres of your car will burst”

One Tree Hill.
Quentin later died and it was so painful to watch. It was one of the episodes that got me really teary.
I remembered a Lawyer telling a client not to do an actuarial valuation simply because it isn’t required by Nigerian labour law.
I was so livid man.
Hold it there😊
Don’t confuse people moving on with them not caring, or assume that because colleagues are leaving, the friendships they built at work were never genuine.
You can be professional, get your work done, collect your pay, and still build meaningful friendships with people you work with.
Workplaces are not devoid of genuine relationships. We have people that met their life partners at work.
Let’s not turn one experience into a universal rule.
Replying to @O_ladele
Again the point of “no one at your office is your friend” has been proven right.
Get your work done , get paid and go home my bro. If they didn’t care about leaving you there then the truth is you didn’t matter.
Just by vest with your full chest from your contacts in Yemen.
We don't need these paragraphs man.
You are asking what changed because you see married couples showing affection in Makkah. Nothing changed.
1) They are not a couple. This is just social media noise. I have credible intel from my source in Saudi Arabia. The authorities see married people showing affection all the time without issues. These two are married to different people, which makes them adulterers.
2) They were not executed because they kissed. They engaged in severe sexual acts. What they did is way more than kissing. People are hanging onto the kissing rumor to make the offense look less grievous.
3) They were not able to prove ignorance. In Islamic jurisprudence, genuine ignorance of a law or boundary gives room for mercy and a softer landing. The fact that they could not establish ignorance shows their intent was deliberate.
4) They were tried under a court of competent jurisdiction and they freely confessed. They were not coerced. About 12 judges were present during the proceedings. The evidence against them was too weighty for them to receive a lighter punishment.
Every country has its own rules and laws. This is why I tell people to always obey the rules and laws of your host country.
Do not protest. Do not flout public orders. Do not test the boundaries of a foreign legal system. You cannot import your own moral compass and force it on theirs. When you cross a border, your feelings no longer dictate the law.
Let’s stick to the facts.
This one don go tete.
But AYO, don’t you think the punishment is extreme? Truly, your concerns are valid.
But I want you to know that the word “extreme” is a relative term. It is not absolute. And you cannot define what is extreme until you establish the baseline you are measuring from.
The reason you keep saying it is extreme is because you are using a Western ruler to measure an Islamic legal system.
In the secular framework, the highest possible value is individual liberty and physical life. That is, liberty and life comes before the religion. From that baseline, taking a human life for a non violent sexual act is viewed as an extreme punishment. They believe that if there is no physical victim, the state has no business ending a life.
However, in the Islamic legal compass, the highest priority is the protection and sanctity of the religion. Our servitude to the Almighty comes first, even before our own life. Islam believes we are not here on our own. We are here on a purpose, which is to worship the Almighty.
Now when you compare these two worldviews, you will see the glaring difference in the moral compasses and why you feel the judgment is extreme.
From the Islamic standpoint, it is the crime itself that is extreme. Read that again. This is because bypassing private hotel rooms to commit an act of severe sexual immorality right inside the most guarded sanctuary on earth is an extreme violation. It is an unthinkable level of spiritual treason.
So, when an offender commits an extreme violation of a state ultimate sacred boundary, a competent court will mostly likely respond with the maximum deterrent.
You only think the punishment is extreme because your secular moral compass refuses to accept the weight of the crime. When you understand the hierarchy of laws that I established above, you will realize the ruling based on their framework, is not extreme. It is proportional.
This is the difference. You don’t agree. Fine. But that’s their legal view point. And do you think it is also fair to impose your own emotions on their jurisdiction?

I can relate to this from personal experience.
Before my first engagement involving the valuation of intangible assets and biological assets, I had spent over five years teaching IAS 38 (Intangible Assets) and IAS 41 (Agriculture) at ICAN tuition centres. I knew the standards and the theory, or at least I thought I did. 😂
Then came my first brand name valuation engagement. It required a lot of research, deeper understanding of IAS 38, and a fair amount of going back to the drawing board. Applying the concepts in practice was a completely different experience from teaching them in a classroom.
The same applied to biological asset valuation. Knowing the theory was one thing and figuring out how to apply it to a real-life valuation was another.
It was challenging, but the learning was immense. Since then, I have worked on several more engagements, including valuations using the Relief from Royalty Method and the Multi-Period Excess Earnings Method (MPEEM).
One thing I have come to appreciate is that valuation is dynamic. Every engagement comes with its own peculiarities, assumptions, and challenges, and there is always something new to learn.
Certifications are useful, and I certainly have nothing against them. But there is a world of difference between understanding a concept and applying it to a real transaction.
I’ve done many interesting valuation engagements in my life but the learning continues.
Get the certification, but seek the practical experience too. That is where the real learning happens.
If you like do AFM or FMVA.
When they hand you the valuation of a brand name or a biological asset, you’ll quickly realise that those certifications alone won’t save you.
Hot tears go first roll!!!
You’re better off joining a valuation team at work and gaining hands-on experience than spending all that time chasing certifications without practical exposure.
Sadly, I won’t be attending this year either, as the conference usually coincides with the start of busy season. I haven’t even had the chance to attend once because of the timing.
Perhaps finance and accounting Twitter should have a party this December. I will show up.
I hoping to connect with some finance folks on X at the conference this year. @O_ladele promised me in 2024 that he was going to show in the coming years. I hope he comes around this time.
That's why Paul admonishes us to look unto Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith, not Twitter.
The Bible tells us in Romans 12:2 not to conform to the pattern of this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.
Renew your mind!!!!
Our standard should be Christ, not social media.
I understand Twitter can shape your opinions, but only the Word of God should shape your convictions.
