did you know a kids pizza meal at Boston pizza is $13 and includes a personal pizza (8”), apple sauce, apple juice, and fries. much to consider

Really bothers me when cafes post seasonal drink images on website or IG but then don’t label which drink is which. How am I supposed to guess from the top of the drink or through the plastic for a cold one which latte is which

idk if this is a serious ask but lots of directors are great at blocking drama (conversation) Great examples: -Soderbergh Oceans -Oppenheimer -Mad Men -Industry -most Spielberg -most Shyamalan -The Handmaiden -literally any Tarantino -The Abyss

Genuinely how else are you supposed to shoot a scene of 20 different important characters in one room. Like be for real

It is completely possible to stage and film an ensemble of actors doing nothing but talking in a way that is not only coherent, but dynamic and interesting and adds value narratively & visually. The avengers are billion dollar movies! we should be holding them to standards!!

I originally included some action examples but then realized I should narrow the scope of this just to specifically being in a space and talking because that’s the example from OP and also a different skillset than staging & blocking action.

I like to do themed reads such as AAPI month or pride month. But due to illness and moving, I totally missed Latine Heritage Month. I think I’ll do it in December. Nov is when I focus on Indigenous authors and I have a few books lined up already!

when this happens I just try to remember the average person doesn’t read at all. (And then I recommend things I think may be similar but better.)

You guys don’t know how painful it is when someone looks you in the eyes irl and recommends you a book that is just utter slop on a mountain of slop and you gotta just smile and nod

Once my grandfather asked my grandmother why she doesn’t honk her horn and she said “why, so I could get shot?” (this was in the US, but OPs point generally about safety is true most places)
Genie@lettersfromjunoOct 24
You guys underestimate how dangerous people actually are. People get killed for honking at cars. It doesn’t matter your tone, intentions, etc. you never really know when people are ready to go out and they have no problem taking others with them

There’s a really fancy restaurant near my apartment and I joked with my dad about the price of the entrees and he said we could go there for my 30th birthday. But I don’t eat in restaurants anymore. I know this is a really small thing but my world has just shrunk so much.

This was really apparent to me at my grammas celebration of life because she had so many people there, she had such a big life and community. 86 years old and was living a more vibrant, active life than I am.

I have a lot of privilege and don’t want to downplay that at all. But sometimes these feelings are just really clear and strong. Those who make space and advocate for disabled people really do save lives.
